He is as naturally talented, fast, powerful, courageous and clever as they come in my honest opinion. Could he be the first Brit to really give the P4P list a good go. Now I may be jumping the gun a bit but being an Olympic champion, the best domestic fighter in his weight category and with the talent he possesses and only 11 fights in. I think we have a shout.

Don't see him winning a world title so no chance of P4P IMO.

Can't really tell at this stage but haven't seen anything remarkable about him so far but saying that I said same thing about froch .....

I don't see it.

I think there's a big question mark over whether he can prove he is the best lightweight in the British isles right now.
With Mitchell, Flannigan, Crolla, Coyle, Matthews, Ormand and Cardle out there just now, I'm not sure he beats all of those guys,

It'd be nice to see some of these touted Brits step up. So far I don't think we've seen Campbell beat anyone he couldn't have beaten on his debut, the same with Joshua, I understand protecting your investment but the Olympics was almost 3 years ago!

Campbell passes the eye test but we've seen him answer no questions so far.

He's looked good but he hasn't wowed me.

I come on here because I value and respect the opinions of the folk on here but some of the posts on this thread puzzle me. Luke Campbell is a special talent and he will win a world title. P4p? I am not so sure tbh but he is one of the best prospects we have.

Coyle next which is a bit of step up, which may ask a British or possible euro level question.

He looks like he haa potential but will see once he steps up.

How do you think he would do if he were put in against Richard Commey next?

Would love to see him do it , but they need to get a move on can't believe his 28 soon keep thinking he's about 20 .

You know what, I'd like Campbell Vs Mamadjonov actually. The Uzbek was stopped by Commey but is still a VERY good test skills wise. Commey might be able to test Campbell's chin but he's not a great boxer and needed Mamajonov to run out of steam to really hurt him. Campbell would probably be too sharp for Commey, though if he got reckless it could be curtains. A good test but maybe give Campbell another fight or two first.

Luke Campbell needs to hurry up and move on, he's wasted enough time over this Coyle fight for me. Two Hull shows just to try and build it up already and I read a tweet the other day from Coyle theyre struggling to find a date for it to happen.

I agree to an extent. I don't like to see the world class amateurs come in, skip through the domestic scene avoiding the real challenges there in the way Khan did but you don't want to see them hanging around for too long. Coyle is fine by the end of 2015 then he needs to fight any one of the current lightweights who keep their momentum up into next year and then kick on...if he is good enough. We should have an idea after those

The Bantamweight Gold Medal brings with it almost certainty that the winner, if he turns pro, will go onto win a world title.

The last winner of this medal to turn pro and not win a belt, was Takao Sakurai, who won gold in 1964. And he was a true contender, who lost his shot on points.

It's a strong division, and I had high hopes for him. Luke has clearly had family issues, but this diversionary 'feud' with Coyle is total nonsense. It's disappointing to see him make such slow progress.

I agree he should be going through the domestic opposition first its more the wasted dates having pointless fights (on the same card as Coyle) just to try and build it because Eddie Hearn wants to milk the Hull roivalry thing for more than what it is (a standard domestic level fight that years ago would have been a normal headline on a Friday Night show from a leisure centre). I saw Coyle tweet the other day that they were struggling to find dates for it to happen in Hull. I pointed out that they'd already wasted two dates in Hull trying to build it up.

Hopefully his family issues will be better as he needs to step up, with all due respect the Tommy Coyle fight is not much of a step up, he needs to press the accelerator and start mixing with the likes of Mitchell ASAP

By the time Campbell gets to world level his peak will have been and gone.

It's time we started matching prospects appropriately, Campbell should be beating the likes of Coyle after 5-6 fights with the Am career he has had, even i it was only an 8 rounder. by 12-15 fights i'd have liked to have seen him finished with domestic scene, and moving on to european and world honours.

I appreciate he has had personal issues outside of the ring but this was an Olympic gold medalist in the prime of his life that has shown no real vulnerabilities.

He wont come near a proper P4P list.

In recent years Calzaghe (3), Hatton (4) and Hamed (6) have all been listed in the upper reaches of The Ring's P4P list.

Not at all my friend. Just wanted to see if others shared my opinion.

Not for me, also dunno how long he will last at that weight either so may end up in at light welter sooner rather than later which will take away some of his advantages. Coyle would be a good win for him if he gets it but think he may be tailor made for Campbell to look good.

Luke is very, very good. Watched him since he was a boy.
