The Tri Champions, by Canzo

Hello every body. here is the first time I write to all you.
I have a lot of questions to you guys.

I want to know your thoughts about it.

Thanks a lot.

1-Do you know the entire list of boxers hat have had won championships
in three (plus) different divisions, no total of tittles, but divisions?

2-There should be 2 lists: the general including the WBA, the IBF and the WBO, and the WBC. Other including the others fringe organisms such the NBA, IBC, IBA, WBF, WBB, WBU, etc, etc. or maybe, a single list involving all the mayor and minor organisms.

3-The list must be in chronological order, so we can identify who was first (Fitzsimmons), eleventh, #15, #24, etc, etc.

4-Why the people says that Leonard & Hearns were the first ever fighters to win a fifth title in 5 different divisions if:

A-Hearns won the # 5 as the 168 WBO. (I count the WBO as a legitimate entity, but most of the people doesn’t recognize it, not matter that the IBF is also a new organism founded only 5 years before the WBO, so I don’t understand the dynamic of some people) before Leonard.

B-Leonard won the # 5 in confusing situation: he weight 161-163 lbs and fought in the same night (fight) for 2 different tittles (168 & 175) at the same time (Lalonde). It’s not illegal? Of course, it is.

C-De la Hoya won 5 also, but he has the 130 WBO. The same as Hearns 168 WBO. Also, he won the 160 WBO for a ‘record’ # 6 in six different divisions, but, please, looks at Hearns and James Toney tittles won.

So, there should be an asterisk in these three boxers. Thad’s mean that none of them have won the record # 5 in different divisions? Yet?

If the WBO does not count (I count it) that’s mean that neither the other fringe organisms? Therefore, if the ‘fringe’ WBO counts I believe should be fair that the other fringe ones also may count, no?

If these fringes entities are ‘world’ entities, so why the federal and state laws and bodies permit them to exist? So, if the governments recognizes them as world, why all of us not? Yes, I know, our fathers and grandfathers told us that only the WBC, WBA and the IBF are the ones?
But the IBF is as new as the WBO. See the dates of foundations. Why the IBF is a ‘true’ entity? Because they speak fluently English and they are in USA territory? Here the people will attack me, but I have part of reason.

Another question: If there are 3 or 4 mayor organisms, why are sometimes 5 or 6 champions at the same category (the mayor ones) if they are supposed to be only 4 or 3 (or 2, or I depending the unifications)?
Why the government permits the super champions (or regular champions) at the same category (the WBA)? Also, the WBC has adopted this thing in some opportunities (Tszyu & Gatti).

Of course, I know why, the collection of more money at tittles fights.
Look the WBA, they have Hopkins as the champ, he is the undisputed champ at 160, but… not matter Hopkins is the titlist the WBA always have a regular ‘world’ champ. See Joppy, he was defeated by Hopkins and Hopkins regained the sole champion status again, but later the WBA vacated the regular world title and now the fringe Macelino Masoe is the new champ at 160. the money. There are other examples of this disgraced practice, and all the organisms, the self-named mayor entities are the responsible for those hapless acts.

The boxing must be regulated by a sole federal entity, as happen at the professional baseball in USA, so no entity can do illegal acts. But, why I say that, they don’t pay me anything and I just talk for the sport.

And something I must tell you, I have NOT work for the WBO or another organism, neither the mayor’s or minor’s ones.

And returning to the Hearns, et als stuff:

1--Hearns- won the 190 WBU Cruiserweight title 1995-03-31, plus the 190 IBO Cruiserweight title 1999-04, already. He should be considered the first one to earn 5 tittles at 5 different categories. Well, the people that know boxing count the 168 & 175 WBC that won Leonard the same night, wow.

2-Durán won 4, counting the mayor ones, yes. But if the WBO does not count (count for me) what happens with the fringe NBA boxing organism? If the history may recognize all, or some, of these weak entities, thus Durán is a champ in 5 tittles at 5 different categories. Yes, I know that this NBA is so weak, yes. But we never know…

3-Camacho, Sr.- the same as Durán and Hearns. He won not only the 130, 165 and 140, but the 168 NBA Super Middleweight title 2001-07-14, the 154 IBC Junior Middleweight title 1998-08-11, the 160 IBC Middleweight title 1997-03-01 and the 147 IBC Welterweight title 1995-01-14. yes, the NBA, the IBC are not true organisms, but…

4- James Toney- Toney won his third at different weigh (the 190 IBF)
last year to be the new tri champ. But before win his first mayor title (160 IBF) he was already champion at 154 IBC Junior world Middleweight title 1991-01. so, when he ‘disappeared’ from the boxing (10 years) to win his third (Jirov), he already have won 210 IBA SUPER cruiserweight title 2001-03-29, and the 190 IBO cruiserweight title 1997-06-14, the 190 WBU Cruiserweight title 1997-02-22, and the 175 WBU Light Heavyweight title 1996-08-09.

--
Just I am keeping the records. I will respect the people say that he won 3 in different categories, yes, but there are some statistics to answer in the next 30 years.

--
The fighters that have won 4 or more tittles are:
1-Thomas Hearns (5): the first with 4 and 5. (*)
2-Ray Leonard (5): the second with 4 and 5 (*)
3- Roberto Durán (4): the third with 4
4-Pernell Whitaker (4): the fourth
5- Leo Gamez (4): the fith
6- Roy Jones, Jr. (4): the sixth
6- Oscar De la Hoya (6): the third with 5 and the first with 6. (*) (*)
--

Tri champions have won 3 or more tittles in different divisions, but that they skip one division without winning it:

1-Durán: 140
2- Mosley: 140
3- McCallum: 168
4- Danny Romero: 118
5- Johnny Tapia: 122
6- Michael Moore (175 & 210+) 190. (He is not 3X champ)
7- Roy Jones (4) 190
8- Etc, etc.

--

A question for Oscar de la Hoya:
Why, if he defeat Hopkins, does not try the 168 what ever tittle?
Forget Mosley 3 and Trinidad 2; they will be closed fights and he can ‘lose’ again because the judges.
