Who was Il Duce anyway?

Its been just about a year this month since all of Il Duce's postings were purged from this forum
(I know this because someone here accused me of being him,and all my postings were removed too(SugahRayRobitussen)
during the Memorial Day weekend last year.
Imagine my surprise the following Tuesday when I went back on-line and I noticed everything I had posted had been deleted too.
Did he ever give any clues as to his background or occupation?
I figured he was at least ten years older then me(54 y)
judging from his posts.
Could he have been the last of the"Faversham Five'?
(This would perhaps explain his attitute toward Muhammad Ali).

I always got the impression he was older. It was a shame in some ways that he was banned as he was quite knowledgable but he did push the limit so I guess he deserved to go. He had to turn everything into an Ali hating topic which became tiresome, predictable and boring. It was like he was obsessed with Ali, I could never really work out if he was deliberately trying to create an argument or if he just couldn't find anything better to talk about. He was on other forums too and they tended to be Ali hating too.

He was a kid who lived with his parents and got perverse joy from desiminating lies. He variously lied about being from/livinf in penn., n.y., conn., fl., and new orleans. He was also by turns a record executive, an official with the wba, and an independantly wealthy heir. All of the factual information he posted was taken directly from newspapers.com, google news, etc. That accounted for about 10% of what he posted. The other 90% was entirely made up. Im still mystified how he fooled some fairly knowledgeable people into believing he knew his ass from a hole in the ground.

Like I had said in an earlier posting,I got real sick in August 2013
and didnt get out the hospital until March 2014.
When I came back aboard here in March I couldnt believe the amount of vitrial on this site with some posters.
A number of new posters (whom I never had heard of before)appeared to be attacking Il Duce for no real reason
other then then he didnt agree with him and maybe he may have gotten a little obnoxious sometimes defending his views.
I think the worst they attacked him the more anti-Ali he became.
It sort of reminded me of on-line senior citizen abuse toward him.
anyway nobody forced those guys to reply to some of his postings,
it would have been better just to ignore those then censor someone here.
I remember he had a pretty good thread regarding Thad Spencer here before he was disposed.

You know it seems sort of funny how Tomasino and Davey Mac always seems to post within minutes of each other.
Are you guys room mates or something?
Now lets all count-down the mnutes to when Tuan_Juan posts here regarding this now.

First of all there is nothing more dangerous that senior ON senior abuse...... he'd come after me with his damn cane, and I'd run over him with my electic wheelchair....and it just spun out of control from there.
And I agree about just ignoring him. But he refused to take a low key approach and ended up breaking a gaggle of the no no rules regarding getting personal. He'd take any debate about subjective or objective info, and often turn it into personal attacks on folks, if they didn't see his brilliance. So he barked at, and goofed with enough folks for a long enough period of time, that something had to be done about the general toxicity. So he was shown the door, but only after several attempts to get him on board with the rules. Mostly regarding going after people on a personal level.
Oh yeah.....and some folks thought that his "creative history, and story telling" should have counted against him as well. But as far as I can tell, there's no rule against making stuff up about boxers. Journalists, and "documentarians" have been paid good sums of money to do that for decades. And his stories were often quite novel, and on occasion he would mix in as much as 30 - 40% factual content. Just to keep us on our toes.

The stuff that he allegedly made up.
I dont recall where he did that and then someone here offer up sources to refute what he was saying.
Thats how you do it.
The only thing I can remember that I knew he was wrong was when he said Ken Norton fought as a middleweight early on as an amateur
when he was in the Marines.
I countered that argument of his by linking to a page of Ken Norton's autobiography GOING THE DISTANCE,
where Norton states when he graduated from High School he was 6 ft 3 and about 210 ibs.
I provided the hyperlink to the page over at Google Books too.
He may possibly meant Mac Foster.
But thats who you go about discussing things in this forum that may be inaccurate.
BTW their continue to be trolls on here who personally insult me and no one does anything about it

Well, honestly....it sort of goes along the lines of just how badly your feelers get hurt.
So if someone is bullying you, and being all mean....just say the word, drop the dime.
Squeaky wheel gets the oil.
Personally, I've got such a thick skin, I never pay much mind to the trolls. Unless they
are causing pain to the innocent bystanders.

I'm still mystified how he managed to rile an intelligent man and published author (you) into near incandescent anger and threats of lawyers etc. I've got your book and you'd nothing to fear from anything he said or typed.

BTW Who is this"gulliable" boxrec editor here that you speak of
that didnt even bother to ask Il Duce(or anyone else for that matter)
for their primary sources to double check before they added the info into the records here?
I assume they were purged as well along with all of their additions one would assume.

Well there is a trust factor in this world Caractus. Though few probably deserve it.
Sometimes people who start out as a promising helpful volunteer go bad.
The "fact gatherers' here are given some access to the data base in order to do their jobs.
Some betray their trust.
It happens.

This whole eerie thread reminds me of the South Park episode where Cartman tries to get everyone interested in a discussion of "Who is the Coon?". Coon being his super-hero alter ego.

Finally Caracatus/Duce has found an angle to get people talking about him again.
Everything Il Dunce wrote was drivel, pure fantasy. It's why no one bothers to respond to Caracatus's pointless, repetitive threads. Why get dragged into his bog of nonsense? For a long time he has been reduced to jumping into other people's threads just to make a lame gag no one responds to. The man has never contributed a single meaningful sentence to any thread under any of his aliases (Duce/Brutu/Caracatus/SRRobittssen etc etc). The complete deletion of his work was a great day for Boxrec.
