Often the forgotten men of Professional boxing Journeymen such as Mose Ioelu often dont get the recognition they deserve.

It appears the NZNBF and NZPBA have now taken action to call a halt to Ioelu's boxing career. ANd he will no longer be sanctioned to fight in NZ, and I presume this will put a stop to any future bouts in Australia also.

Ioelu fought anyone and everyone on a moments notice and finishes (perhaps) up with a 4 (1KO) - 48 (21KO) - 0 record. He fought anywhere between Super-Middle - Cruiserweight Some more noteable names on his record include

Kerry Foley
Jameson Bostic
Soulan Pownceby
Serge Yannick
Marc Bargero
Isaac Peach
Andrew Green
Gunnar Jackson
Robert Berridge
Dennis Hogan
Joel Casey
Tyrone Jones
Rohan Murdoch
Trent Broadhurst
Nik Charalampous
Adrian Taihia
Joe Blackbourn

Often fighting some of the above on more than one occasion. Perhaps his best moment was getting a TKO1 win over Kerey Palmer, albeit the fight was stopped due to a cut. He then went 4 1/2 years and 31 fights without a win until winning a 4 round decision over Rueben Higgins.

He last fight was a points loss to Tyrone Warren.

Met Moses years ago at Blacktown when he came over to fight Foley. I think he got stopped in the first round but seemed like a real good bloke. Wish him all the best on the rest of his journey in life.

Hes a nice fella Foxy, and the type of guy that boxing dies without. The sport needs the journyman the guys who will fill holes at the last minute in promotions, the guys that will give young fullas a good hit out early (or in some cases not so early) in there careers.

He didnt win many Mose but he sure fought the best
