Saw this on smiths fb. Poor fight imo dt struggled up at feather against warrington to take around now his in with smith at super feather. Smith holds a top 10 wbo ranking. Personally id like to see him fighting some tough domestic fights. His fought moises ( won by a point ) and cope ( was unbeaten but been stopped since) at english title level. Lots of fringe domestic contenders he cud b matched with instead of a bantamweight. Thoughts.......

Defending his title if he drops down he will lose his wbo ranking

Super feather v a bantamweight. The lad didnt take a round off warrington. Since winning the english title against cope his Vacated straight after townsend ( who stopped cope ) was made mandatory. His not fought a domestic contender at super feather . Who will he improve against blowing this kid away to say i did wat warrington cudnt. Why not fight kays sykes clark jones. Him v warrington wont happen in the near future.

Tubieron has not fought at bantamweight in over 2 years. Fighters are allowed to move up weight divisions.
Mitchell Smith is only 22 and there is no need to rush with him. If he beats Tubieron easily then so what?
I really don't see what you are complaining about here.

Smith's a featherweight, his last fight was only at 9st 4 because the opponent couldn't make 9st, they've been planning on him moving down for ages. He's 22 and had 12 fights, I don't see the issue with him fighting Tubieron who will be his best opponent yet, he's clearly highly thought of and they're aiming for world titles so he needs to be fighting international opposition.

Id heard he was considering moving down but he put on his fb that he was defending his title so that's at super feather.

Marco McCullough has the WBO European at Featherweight, so until that 'title' is vacant at 126 I think Mitchell will stay at 130. But, continue with his intention to move down.
