If Haye returns to how he was before all the injuries then I would say AJ late stoppage. I still think this would be AJ toughest fight out of all the Brits

Not a chance,Haye has been out too long now to be competitive and also you have to get in the ring and fight and not just talk about it,i think he's be far too small for Joshua anyway.

If I were Joshua or part of his team I'd not consider Haye; he has a history of pull outs, there are active fighters that would get in with Joshua and give him a fight.

It all depends on Haye if he can be arsed to fight again,what with his budding Hollywood career and him just waiting on the call to become the next James Bond

It is a great fight though,Joshua is getting harder and harder to match,by the rate he's going,barring a devastating KO loss he's gonna be at world eliminator level in about a year,but providing even he does beat a Wach,Charr,Pulev type opponent, is he to be expected to fight for a world title after less than 20 fights,especially since he never had a long amateur career,surely there's plenty of room for him to get even better,especially when he gets rounds under his belt

Part of me thinks if hes still unbeaten in a year and he's beat 1 or 2 top 10 HW's then get him in with Wlad,the other part of me thinks,not even Lewis,Tyson or the Klitschko's were ready at that stage,Wilder on the other hand isn't too much of an ask as Anthony's better than everyone Deontay's faced

But yeah Haye would be a great fight

Haye has not been a fighter in years. This is a joke to even think of this match up

Haye won't want anything to do with Joshua, not a chance especially after 3 years out! He's a bit to wise for all that I think.

Haye keeps promising he is coming back but we hear nothing, which is a shame because as a fighter he is an exciting genuine top 10 heavyweight.

However I think the emergence of Anthony Joshua would only deter him further from getting in the ring.

Hard to disagree with it being a great fight that should happen...but like some of the gents have already alluded to, Haye is predictable in his unpredictablity when it comes to the whole business of being a professional fighter. One moment he's retired and wants to be a thespian and the next the whole Hayemaker redemption roadshow is back-on and we get some fighting-talk in the newspapers.

Why is it inevitable??? Haye isnt even boxing,i would say price,chisora,fury vs joshua are inevitable. Haye has had his day if he was serious about boxing again he would of had a fight already. Ther is no one in world heavyweight boxing at this moment in time that can live with joshua,he is the most complete heavyweight out ther atm

Ha'way man, give your head a shake. He hasn't even fought anyone who has come to win. Klitchsko would school him, Povetkin would dominate him. Both of whom are more complete fighters than him. Wilder's faster of hand and foot, Thompson's more schooled.

He's knocking over carefully selected tomato cans, which is what everyone does and fair play to him. How's he going to react in deep water? When he's hurt? When's he's behind on points? When his focus isn't there? When someone fights dirty? And put quite simply, when he stands opposite someone who's the betting favourite?

1. Haye says he will fight again.
2. Haye and Joshua are both heavyweights.
3. If they fight, it's a huge event, that makes everyone concerned very wealthy.
4. I'm a Sunderland supporter.

Totally agree - naturally much bigger man, younger, and a huge puncher to boot.

Haye has been out far too long, and what does he have to gain, if he wins, then what? If he loses, it's a poor end to his career, I just cannot see Haye wanting to take that kind of risk.

I personally very much doubt we will see Haye back in action, unless Wlad were to lose to someone and Haye fancied his chances, however, I don't know that he's really that concerned any more, he's made his millions, and hasn't much left to prove. He was always up against it as a heavyweight, having to bulk up to be able to compete - he really wasn't a proper heavyweight in my eyes, he certainly wasn't built like one - and I'd say he was something of an overachiever as a heavyweight considering.

I was never a big fan of him as a heavyweight, but he was a very exciting cruiserweight. I felt his performance against Wlad left rather a sour taste after all the prefight talk, but to be fair, it's pretty daunting to be faced with someone who has every possible advantage over you.

Either way, unless Joshua wins a world title in very short order, which is very unlikely, I just cannot see Haye wanting to take him on.

If you listen what Haye says he should have come back long time ago. I can see people talking Haye fighting next big prospect when he is 50. Let it go man.

David Haye is 34, would be 35 by the time of a comeback fight, let alone a meaningful one. That's old, probably over-the-hill for a guy who at heavyweight is so reliant on explosive speed.

Yeah agree. One of the first things to go in a fighter is speed and reaction so Haye wouldn't be the same now as he was. Would like to see him come back though but it definitely won't be against AJ. AJ vs Fury would generate interest among the casuals and I think AJ would stop him.

I share your line of thinking. Is Haye even considering a comeback? In Australia we haven't heard his name mentioned in a long time.

I'd like to see Haye back, but he seems to living a playboy life and not the hungry, aggressive fighter's life at the minute.

If he comes back because he wants it and has the itch, then great - but if it's a strategy to increase his bank balance and profile, then he could take a beating.

They say you don't play at boxing, and that's especially true in the heavyweight division.

Hopefully the desire to fight is burning inside him, but if it's only flickering then I'd not do it.

Who would he train with?

Only way I see Haye coming back is if he is in dire need for money. In five ten years from now perhaps we'll see him following Joshua shouting GO CHAMP! GO CHAMP!

Tyson Fury has a high profile in this country, and could've made Haye a lot of money. Yet Haye kept pulling out of that one. I don't see why we think Joshua would be any differfent.

And if it does happen, it's not going to be soon. Joshua hasn't even fought anybody who could fight back yet. They are at different stages. Joshua has just started his career. Haye hasn't really given any serious suggestion that he's ready to come out of retirement.
