This could be a great fight and although Joshua has yet to be tested, Wilder never really got a tested until he fought for the title. I'd fancy this to be a win for Joshua as the more natural boxer.

Wilder's best win is over Stiverne whose claim to fame is beating a man with breasts who ironically, shares a name with the outer part of a nipple.
Wilder is not much more proven than AJ. It's clear Wilder has a lot of power and he did show some decent boxing ability in his last fight. Prior to that, you could see him swing hooks from his ankles.

AJ has shown much better skills on his way up, and stating Wilder's win over Stiverne as a big factor in your decision process would seem odd to me.

I'd favour AJ, but be wary of him taking heavy shots from Wilder.

If AJ had taken a decent shot by now, i'd plump for him. As thats not the case and this is the HW division, id reluctantly say Wilder.

I'm not prone to hype but AJ would quite literally beat the living crap out of him.

Joshua may very well destroy him, but he is yet to be tested. Wilders performance against Stiverne was very good and he took a few shots very well.
The question is who would win right now, and that is why there are plenty voters for Wilder id imagine.

It's a toss up at this point; we don't really know everything we need to know about either guy.

Wilder has proven he can go twelve rounds, that's the only real difference.

At a guess I believe Joshua has the greater potential but it remains to be seen.

Wilder has shown he can go 12 and has taken some (but not many) shots. AJ might well beat him but I'm leaning slightly towards Wilder

Joshua-Wilder is a near 50/50 fight I reckon,as people have said Deontay has the slightly better experience and he's done 12 rounds but I doubt it should matter too much,with their power,its great seeing Anthony destroy people but there's no reason why he can't get tagged early like Price though

Deontay Wilder is nothing, evidenced by his record and his making his first defence vs Eric Molina - one of the worst heavyweight title challengers in the entire gloved era of the sport.

Joshua does everything so much more correctly, he would squash the liability in 1.

We've not seen Joshua take a serious shot on the jaw, despite the fact that his defence is clearly not impregnable, we've not seen him have to face any real adversity in the ring thus far, or any stamina checks, yet many of you have him pegged as WBC champion tomorrow.

You're talking as if owning the WBC title is some sort of feat. It's as comical as a WBA belt right now.

I like Joshua and think he could be the real deal, but let's be sensible he hasn't fought one fighter who came to win. I think people are getting a bit carried away with the Hype. Wilder has beaten a top HW, Joshua hasn't fought a top 5 British HW yet.

Wilder hasn't beaten a top heavyweight. Stiverne was fat, 35, and had never beaten anybody of note. Wilder is next fighting Molina. How much evidence do you need that his team have zero belief in him?

That's a little harsh on Wilder. Surely he's earn the right to make some coin in a couple of easy fights now?

Wilder has a good jab, good straight right, hooks of the jab well, fights on the inside, good left hook, is mobile but might be chinny,
Ok, you explain to everyone (in detail) what Wilder does wrong.

If Wilder rushes in and starts throwing shots straight away like he can do then we've no idea how Joshua will react to it. He might duck, dive, dodge and spark him or he might panic and get overwhelmed.

Until we see him on the receiving end of an attack, we won't know. At this moment, i would slightly favour Wilder as i think if they were to fight tomorrow, his tactic would be to get onto Joshua straight away and see how he reacts to it.

Paul Smith summed Joshua up quite well when he said you get plenty of boxers who are good lads trying to be bad, AJ is a bad lad trying to be good. This doesn't prove anything but his spite makes me confident that he wont do a David Price on us when he's up against it. I think he'll enjoy it, he wants to be tested. I've said it before though, my only worry is his stamina. 12 rounds is a long time to carry all that muscle.

Yep. It's a tough call to know how tough to match him especially after what happened to Price. It will be on Hearn's mind and he won't want to lose out on having Joshua headline a ppv in his first world title shot. Like you say though, the longer he goes without having his stamina tested, the harder it will be
