Degale beats Froch for me have said it for a few years, the older Froch gets the more I believe that statement.

Hmmm but Degale likes to have a nap for a few rounds. If he does that against Froch, he's probably getting stopped.

Without a doubt he would,he would have to be very sharp for every minute of every round and be willing to go the full twelve rounds at a hard pace.

A lot depends on Froch's punch resistance. It can't last forever.

Carl has never struck me as an 'old 38'. He's never really had a job other than boxing and he's always around the weight and fit.

DeGale is pretty slick but he is easy to hit at times! I would favour him against Froch but only just!

I'd favour Froch, even now - he's got the durability and the experience to take DeGale to dark dark places that he's never been before. I'd say Carl is a young 38 too, he's not been bashed up much in his career really, and he's not taken any liberties with his body - he's probably at the peak of his physical strength right now too, at 38, his reflexes are probably slightly on the wane, but he's not a guy that relied on lighting fast reflexes anyway, so I'm not sure how much of a factor it is.

People say his punch resistance is going, but he took an almighty humdinger from Groves, and was back on his feet inside of 4 seconds, and was clear headed enough to defend himself properly, so I don't see much wrong there.

Kessler 1 and 2 were wars, Groves 1, Ward, Taylor were gruelling, got hit quite a bit vs Dirrell and Pascal. That's more than enough for most guys.

Great fight honestly can't pick a winner but what i will say is that if degale falls asleep in rounds 6-10 again like he did against dirrell froch will be on him like a rash.

You do know that Froch fought at Wembley in front of 80 thousands fans! tch!

I just hope within the next few weeks we find out one way or another if he's going fight again or not. Sick of all this will he won't he stuff.

I think he's been a tremendous fighter and I really like him as a pundit. Although he can come across as a bit of a nob occasionally.

For the record I think he's a fairly fresh 38, but would still slightly favour both Degale and Golovkin over him

Was great in the IFILM interview. It's took him 20+ years to grow on me, but he has. I bet he's glad.

I wouldn't say he's been bashed up though, he's a tough nut, and I don't recall ever seeing him leaving the ring looking savaged. The first Kessler fight is probably as bad as it's been. Groves 1 was quite a shelling early on.

Floyd Mayweather told me it was definitely 80,000 and it was definitely Wembley stadium and it was definitely a KO,Carl told him himself........on numerous occasions and he even texted too a few times incase Floyd forgot

Prior to the Dirrell fight i may have leaned ever so slightly towards DeGale, not now. His limitations were exposed against Dirrell, he clearly has stamina issues which Froch would expose big time. DeGale showed a poor boxing IQ, i really feel he could have dominated most of the fight against Dirrell. Froch would be too much for him right now, if they fight next even with Froch being inactive for so long, and at 38, i'd be quite confident of him winning, i would probably lean towards a KO in the mid to late rounds.
