David Price v Erkan Teper...July

massive fight for both men.

Price goes deep again into the fringes of world class against Teper who is a big strong lug with some impressive ko's and long distance tough fights behind him in 14-0

with price's chin this is a huge risk

but its a welcome matchup and should be exciting

Is this really going to happen though? Price is getting matched very carefully and Teper seems quite risky for him given that he's fairly strong and aggressive, hasn't shown durability problems, and seems to have a good engine despite being flabby. It's obviously a fight Price could win, but I'm not sure if his people think the risk/reward ratio is optimal.

It's sad really, it feels like he's just fading away having never really taken off, al la Audley.
He may get a fight against Joshua at some point, put up an ok showing but no more than that.
Good luck to him for trying to get his career going but I fear it won't happen.

I think his time has passed,he has messed around since the second Thompson defeat and was even decked by one of them,it seems to me that his confidence has gone and also his team have no confidence in him either,he may as well cash out against Joshua and call it a day.

I wouldn't take too much from the knockdown - Pala is heavyhanded and had Chisora in all sorts of trouble at one point, and Delboy is known for having a great chin. As a former European champ, I think he was a credible opponent for Price's comeback.

I wasn't aware he was a former Euro champ,i know he had collected a load of international type titles but not the full European title, anyway it's always a worry to see Price going over, especially after 2 stoppage losses back to back.

Pala was never the EBU champ and doesn't have what I consider significant wins. He did momentarily stun Chisora and he's clearly not feather-fisted, but I had the same reaction to the KD as bigjack; seeing Price down again was a bad sign and I believe that it will be hard for him to fight many opponents like Teper without finding himself in similar trouble.

It's been a hard fall from his days as the top HW prospect (at one point he was actually named the top prospect in the whole sport by Dan Rafael) and supposedly next big thing.

The Tiger isn't a big puncher either. Most of his KOs are due to attrition, even though at this stage of his career I don’t think stamina is one of his strong points.

teper was a good Amateur in Germany but he is already a Little old and also a Little fat.

This is a decent fight. Evenly-matched. Price doesn't have a chin at all, and Teper isn't that special, so it's probably going to be kind of lame to watch. But it is at least evenly-matched, and I can appreciate that.

So confirmed 8/7, interesting fight for sure. And as said above, Teper looks nothing special at all, but is favourite with the confidence of an unbeaten fighter and hometown advantage. Presumably can whack a little, though Sprott & Rogan both looked shot to hell.
Price has a good chance here, if he can just get it together and land some big punches on the German, he could cause a big shock for the locals.
Seems like the German promoters have decided it's sink or swim time for these two.

Really interested in this fight.

Neither are elite guys but the winner be roughly top 15 and it seems evenly-matched on paper. Each of them have what it takes to beat the other imo...

Good matchup - it's a 50-50 fight.

If Price loses by KO, he'll likely retire.
