Erislandy Lara vs Delvin Rodriguez-Spike TV, Friday early hours,Lara's WBA Ordinary Light Middleweight title

Id be surprised if anyone's giving Rodriguez much hope of pulling off an upset, question is whether Lara can get him out of there,he not a big puncher but Delvin's looking shot these days,I never seen Lara's last fight against Ishe Smith but its fair to say he was dominant, im going for a middle to late round stoppage for Lara

Nicholas Walters vs Miguel Marriaga,Saturday, allegedly,early hours,Walters WBA Featherweight title

Should be fight of the weekend,2 unbeaten punchers,I've only seen Marriaga once when he KO'd Chris Martin on the N'Dam-Stevens undercard but can't remember much but 20-0 with 18 kos is impressive despite the lack of opposition, Walters coming off a great KO of Donaire but he was badly hurt that night,I'm going for a Walters KO win in the middle rounds

Deontay Wilder vs Eric Molina and Jose Pedraza vs Andrey Klimov-Sky sports,early hours Saturday, Wilder's WBC Heavyweight and vacant IBF Super Featherweight titles

I can't see anything other than at least 2 round demolition job for Wilder,Molina got KO'd in a round by Arreola,Deontay should do the same

Klimov v Pedraza should be competitive, I dont think I've seen Pedraza but he's unbeaten,I've seen Klimov a couple times,beating John Molina Jr and being dominated by Crawford, as I said I've not seen Pedroza but its safe to say he's no Terence Crawford,I'm gonna side with Klimov on points

I don't even know who Lara is, but Axe Man is a must see, plus getting hurt by a puncher of Donaire's quality, and coming back to win by KO, only shows what a great shot the Jamaican can take.
I don't know who he's up against, but it's an impressive record and looks like it could be fireworks.

And of course very interesting to see the new heavyweight title holder, even though they've found him the softest possible option, but who the hell can blame them ? it's his homecoming.

Even so, the hapless big lump they've lined up for him might somehow get lucky, so I'll definitely be watching.

-I've read that Marriaga was the last person to beat Walters in the amateurs, which he supposedly did at an Olympic qualifier, and from the limited footage I've seen he's solid. He also isn't coming up from significantly lower weights like Walters' last two opponents, so perhaps Walters will find it more difficult to be the bully that he was against Nonito and Vic. That said, Marriaga seems to walk straight forward and I don't think he has as much firepower as Walters does, and I think Walters will eventually overwhelm him for a stoppage. I'm curious to see how Walters fares against a boxer with top movement who doesn't stand and trade with him, and there is talk of him fighting one of those types (Loma) next.

-Rodriguez is shot in my opinion and will be spanked by Lara, though the latter can be fairly negative even when in control so it may go rounds.

-Molina is out of his depth against Wilder, already has two first round KO losses, and has a high chance of suffering another one in my view. Aside from being down several times he seemed to mentally give up at the first signs of duress against Arreola, so I don't see him trying to fight on for long once he starts getting hit. I'm still skeptical about Wilder being an elite HW and I think people generally overrate the Stiverne win--the latter had lost to and drawn with journeymen, made 40 year old Ray Austin look like Larry Holmes for nearly 10 rounds, and also came from behind to beat Arreola in their rematch--but I will say that Wilder's power and the perception that he may be vulnerable make him fun to watch.

-The Klimov-Pedraza fight seems fairly well-matched ability wise, but I suspect that it will be a boring fight which Pedraza takes on points.
