Ward's Next Fight

No not the sparring session with Paul Smith but his next real fight? Who are we thinking?
DeGale?
Jack-Groves winner?
DeGale?
Jack-Groves winner?
And today's most deluded post goes to...diddy wrote: Ward I'm sure is getting tired of guys ducking him at 168. Froch won't fight him. DeGale will probably duck him. GGG wants no parts. .
You serious? You cant be serious. Edwin Rodriguez couldnt win a round against Ward. Edwin would beat Smith. How do you think Smith is gonna do?Evander wrote:I'm not moving beyond Smith, let's see how that goes.

He wont win a round. And it wont tell us a thing. We know exactly what happens here. 120-108 x3.
Don't think he's serious.diddy wrote:You serious? You cant be serious. Edwin Rodriguez couldnt win a round against Ward. Edwin would beat Smith. How do you think Smith is gonna do?Evander wrote:I'm not moving beyond Smith, let's see how that goes.

Then surely it would have made more sense fighting a small LHW at a LHW catch limit instead of a small SMW at a LHW catch limit, he wont learn anything from this as it should be over inside 4 rounds.diddy wrote:I think it may just be Ward seeing how he feels at a higher weight - which would aid in his decision process in whether to move to 175 or not. Ward I'm sure is getting tired of guys ducking him at 168. Froch won't fight him. DeGale will probably duck him. GGG wants no parts. He's gotta make some $ somehow, someway and the only way to get good fights may be to move up. I have no doubts Ward will fight again at 168 - if an opponent is worthwhile.
Has Ward's Team sent a good contract ? Here is what Gennady replied regarding Andre accusing him in looking for excuses:diddy wrote:I think it may just be Ward seeing how he feels at a higher weight - which would aid in his decision process in whether to move to 175 or not. GGG can't really express himself in English. He is repeating the same phrases like "I understand my situation", but can't say much beyond those phrases. Nobody knows what he meant saying "not ready", maybe he was just repeating arguments from HBO and Tom. Now, when Ward got under his skin, he said what he thinks in Russian.diddy wrote:GGG is so full of sh*t when it comes to Ward. He said it himself 6 months ago he wasnt ready to face Ward yet....now Ward is moving up in weight and talking about a move to 175 and GGG now wants to talk about Ward. I'm seeing right through this BS. I love GGG but this is lame.
Be serious: Ward doesn't really want any part of GGG or Kovalev. He just talks knowing perfectly well that there is no money on the table for those fights to happen.diddy wrote:Come on man. You know better than this. GGG and his camp want NO PARTS of Ward. Be serious.
Loved that response from GGG, but not sure it's entirely real obviously.ikorolev wrote:Has Ward's Team sent a good contract ? Wow ! Doesn't sound like a good boy talking at all. Looks like Ward's accusations got under Gennady's skin. I wish somebody found money for their fight. Ward would need to do his best at clinching, as GGG is angry at him.
Andre Ward is a pathetic punk. I remember that HBO pre-fight interview where Jim Lampley asks GGG if a fight with Ward could be possible. GGG respectfully says he would love to fight him and Ward sat back and said "we'll see" or something to that effect.http://www.BS.com/golovkin-shr ... sht--92369

Exactly, anyone who's arguing this point with you hasn't watched Paul Smith fight because he's solidly aggressive, crisp punching guy with very good pop . He has way more power than his 50% KO rate suggests, mainly because in England they fight so many 4 round matches early in a guy's career.Evander wrote:I'm not moving beyond Smith, let's see how that goes.
To be fair, you've no idea why Ward felt he didn't want to fulfil the contract, without being in possession of the facts, it's a bit pointless commenting. Ward may well have been rightly aggrieved, I'm sure that he didn't want to spend over 18 months NOT EARNING ANY MONEY unless there was something seriously wrong with his managerial relations.caldo2025 wrote:Andre Ward is a pathetic punk. Let's step back and look at the facts for a second. Andre Ward hasn't thrown a punch for money since October of 2013. That layoff was not because he was hurt or surgery. He had his shoulder surgery before the Edwin Rodriguez fight. His layoff was contractual. He signed a contract that he didn't feel he should fulfill. Then he has the balls to call out a boxer doing EVERYTHING he can to entertain his fans and oh by the way, fights 3 to 4 times a year. It's beyond pathetic. GGG's popularity is three times that of Ward so he doesn't need Ward, it's the other way around.
THE MOST PATHETIC part of all of this is the fact that Ward wasn't stripped of his belts. Another reason why Boxing has it's problems. A UFC Champion would be stripped of the belt so fast it would make his head spin. I hope Ward gets his head knocked off on 6/20 tune up.
Ward is a 1-70 favorite. Carry on.kcharles520 wrote:Exactly, anyone who's arguing this point with you hasn't watched Paul Smith fight because he's solidly aggressive, crisp punching guy with very good pop . I still think Ward is definitely a huge favorite in the fight, but to just pretend like Smith has zero talent whatsoever is a bit ridiculous.
I'm afraid to say anything when you're around, you seem like a very angry person.diddy wrote:No not the sparring session with Paul Smith but his next real fight? Who are we thinking?
