I don't think im buying this. peterson is what, 5'9? 182 pounds is a lot for a person 5'9 to weight unless you are overweight or extremely muscular. As professional athlete, peterson doesn't fit the first and isn't an overly muscular guy either.

Why should he be lying? He's got quite some muscle, and maybe he just likes to eat...

Same day weigh. Ins would stop that nonsense, or better yet ringside, like 2 hrs before.
Never will happen though, as the people running the show are making money off weigh ins.

The funny thing though, is that their list of champions seems slightly weaker than the other governing bodies... and this rule may be one of the reasons for this.

Ricky Hatton always did this.
I personally find it impossible. Even if he didn't take a sh*t all week, I doubt that a person could or would just eat food adding up to 20 pounds in one week. Not sure if his body is also just storing all of the water and not pissing any of it out. Also, after weight-draining, I dunno if the body's ghrelin, leptin, or vasopressin levels get really messed-up, and/or if they bind to receptors in weird ways. I am curious whether he is using banned diuretics, and whether they are affecting these hormones, but I dunno. But obviously a normal person who isn't rebounding from severe weight draining is not going to be capable of spiking 15ish pounds in one day, and then another 22 pounds in the ensuing week, even if it were just fecal / water weight, and even if they were really pushing themselves to achieve that goal.
