How many times do i need to say it? This guy is GARBAGE. Can't fight on the inside. Fouls constantly. Footwork is amatuerish. Fast/accurate hands but zero power. No ring IQ.

He wont be able to sell much longer. He 's fought 2 live guys, and got washed by both. F'n hell he possibly even lost to PAULIE.

He's headed to Judah-ville. Will rack up a bunch of wins vs c-level opposition and lose in every step up vs the elite. Problem is when he keeps losing to the top guys he's gonna end up making less money as each year passes. He spends like he's got Iverson/Floyd cash. Problem is he's getting exposed really early in his career to a point where those huge checks are gonna stop coming unless he beats someone legit. Haymon will track him back on the bum of the month tour in his next 2-3 fights. Think Frank Gavin, Jo Jo Dan, Pablo Cano-types are in his immediate future. He'll win 2-3 in a row vs that caliber, talk a bunch of sh*t then get in with a guy like Thurman, Brook, Khan, Bradley and get washed again.

All he did mostly was hold, hit and use many dirty tactics that should've been penalties from the beginning, it seems Weeks is the type of Ref that allows all types of dirty things to go on and on before he finally takes a point.

Broner proved he can't fight up close, he proved he has very little counterpunching skills and his bark is much bigger than his bite.

Yes, much too much of that which is the exact thing I was saying he should've been penalized early and often enough during the bout, he stunk up the joint. The best thing was his knockdown which didn't even hurt Porter, in fact Shawn evened up the round by the time it ended.

I agree and have said that all along. Other than a close decision win over Paulie, he is also very light on the resume portion of his career. He is a second tier fighter.

With Broner were dealing with an immature kid that simply does not understand what is is to be a be a man. What I mean by that is humility. His post fight behavior "girlfriend talk"? Was VERY weak.

I'm not saying Broner is done.

But it will be 2 years before he's back at this type of level at best.

Broner aint big enough at 147.....he gets muscled around to easy. He needs to do 140 or 135 if he can still do it. I doubt he can hit 135 anymore fat fornicator.

Wasn't floyd a specialist at clinching according to you Kbb, you wrote that in a previous post didn't you

I still think Broner could be a real top level fighter if he stuck to 140, changed trainer, changed his attitude and got rid of all of those hangers on and yes men.

Based on his post fight interview there is no chance that is going to happen. He was shocking last night and can not beleive he acted like he won the fight at the end. Shame Porter couldn't knock him out cold but it will happen in the next 18 months.

Kind of hard to do when he got stiff armed or laid on every time he landed a clean punch or got inside and the ref just let it happen until the 11th round

Broner is just spoiled enough to be totally ok with being called garbage I think. He probably think that will add to his popularity. Personally, I don't call any boxer garbage that is a 3 time world champ, and just made $1.3 million for 36 minutes work. I can't stand Broner, but he still has a lot of years to get his career down the right path. He better start walking the walk or his friendship with Floyd will fade fast.

Crawford would beat him worse than Porter did tonight.

Broner needs to drop back down in weight but as much as he is a complete clown you have to admire some of the guys he has been willing to take on. He is still young and not been afraid to take difficult fights. He could have easily padded his record out whilst he was on top. He should get his fat ass at least back down to light welter.

I'm all for people having a healthy positive opinion of themselves but Broner takes that attitude to the next dimension, he seems narcissistic in the extreme and that seems to be getting in the way of his development as a boxer and as silly as he is, he does have some real physical talent.

His post fight interview was equally as bad as the fight. The guy clearly doesn't care for winning anymore, it's tragic.

I agree. Him refusing to shake hands after the weigh in just adds to it all. He needs to change. He will still be somewhat of a draw, but doubt he will make the kind of money he made tonight unless he steps it up on both a personal and professional level.

Pointing out that some cases of holding you seem to tolerate due to the fighter and others you rubbish the fighter, a tad hypocritical of you don't you think

I was a big believer in Broner even though he was/is a complete tool,to become a 3 weight champ by about 25 is good going but his personality and belief in his own hype have clearly affected his progress, he looked in great shape at the weigh in against Porter but surely 140 is the division for him at the moment,he's got brilliant hand speed and is sharp but he's not smart in the ring and isn't busy enough and can't control opponents the way he did at SFW and LW

With the right trainer and a bit of a humbling, he can be a great fighter but his performances recently are exactly what people predicted would happen if he didn't take his own shlong out of his mouth
