The bright colors are exceedingly insulting as is the emphasis of large fonts over facts.

As others alluded to, the lists are shorter.

I like it honestly, just needs some getting used to. It looks more modernized, I guess. I like the layout scheme. The pictures of the fighters and star rating system is a nice touch. I like the drop down menus where you can see title holders for certain belts, and other added features...

It doesn't have scheduled fights in specific divisions anymore. I use to look up upcoming Heavyweight Fights and other divisions.

Much easier to search a fighter now. You type full name within the same box. One click. Done. Pictures are also attached to the fighters now. Load times from a cell phone are much much much better.

That functionality could have been added/improved without screwing up presentation.

Yes, except that the search engine is still pathetic. Type in John L Sullivan and see what you get. I'm just using that as na example.

I'm sure that was one of the main reasons for the change, but speaking as an IS professional who spent decades as an application developer, so far the new layout seems less efficient than the old layout. There certainly are some improvements, but I don't understand why web sites are changed with so little advance warning. Also, were there any Boxrec users involved in these changes? We used to spend a great deal of time working with users in developing changes so that we understood what our users wanted rather than just assuming that we could just make it better for them.

Of course, that was back when things were done by people who understood not just technology, but business principles and as well.

i hate this new layout so much, any reason why you cant look at the commonwealth rankings anymore?????
