Surely we aren't to believe that Mayweather would wants his final fight to be against one of these two fighters. If his next fight is against one of these two, then surely it will not be his last one. What an awful climax that would be.

I think he's just joking around with the media, but even if he isn't he's fine fighting whomever he wants. He's stated he doesn't care about titles, so if his last bout is a non-title fight he has the right to fight whomever.
