HWs in action on July 11 in Germany

I've always liked the HW division, and there's a good card of heavyweights coming up.

Chagaev-Pianeta for the WBA "world" title is somewhat interesting, and there are a lot of HW prospects and journeymen fighting on the same card:

Michael Wallisch vs. Steffen Kretschmann
Alexander Dimitrenko vs. Zoltan Csala
Tom Schwarz
Edmund Gerber
Apti Davtaev

Also, on that day we'll have Alexander Ustinov fighting in London, hopefully vs. Dereck Chisora (although he may be fighting someone else).

Tom Schwarz appears to have some talent:

Great KO but he's looked so-so a few times since that and seems a bit crude. Still very young for a HW though, so there is ample time for improvement.

Good step up for Schwarz. Chagaev should beat up Pianetti

Pianeta down twice in the first before the ref waved it off.

Chagaev landed two of his signature left hands and that was all it needed.

suprised chagaev ended it in 1 round
pianeta punch resistance finished by Wladimir

chagaev looked it better shape than he has in last few years, (still far form great shape)

he must now face Oquendo in a rematch within 120 days

Looking at Pianeta's record, I am not sure how he got a shot at Klitchko. He has never faced anybody decent.

12 Heavyweight
Ruslan Chagaev 33-2-1
vs
Francesco Pianeta 31-1-1
WBA World heavyweight title

Chagaev stopped Pianeta in 1
Pianeta down twice in the 1st round
Pianeta came in unprepared and in terrible shape
He had a huge ring and much better mobility and reach
But he gave all his advantage away getting pressured in the ropes and bullied down

He beat 42 y.o. Skelton, 43 y.o. Botha and 47 y.o. McCall, which is hardly impressive by any means. He also beat Duhaupas who recently beat Charr, but that only shows us how badly overrated Charr was.
