The bowe v tillary fiasco worth a mention

It's a shame as the first 2 rounds were tense and you'd struggle to call a winner. Lewis was boxing well and landing some heavy shots but you just thought McCall would keep coming and get his opportunity.

Was McCall not some sort of crack head? He had a manic crack meltdown mid fight! Apparently never been down even in sparring and he sparred thousands of rounds with Tyson. One tough dude.

Speaking of Rahmen, that swelling on his head was probably the most gruesome injury i've seen in the ring. Was it against Holyfield?

Yeah that was a bad injury. I remember some Argentinian fighter whose ear almost fell off.... I seem to remember he was fighting a US name fighter. Hopkins or Mosley or someone

This isnt a crazy moment but didnt Tommy morrison turn up for his heavywieght fight and the opponent didnt turn up, so they asked in the crowd if there was a heavyweight available right then to fight? One was in the crowd and got a fight on the card that night?

Wasn't it Mike Williams and didn't he refuse to come out of the dressing room and Tim Tomashek just happened to be in the crowd. Always felt like a set up.

What was olivers chin made of I don't even think he blinked with any punch Lennox landed and their was some big one's that got past the CRYING D

It's one of those fights that's taken almost mythical status - The usual story is that Doughboy was in the arena sucking down a pretzel and a beer and asked to fight but the real story is that Williams repeatedly didn't turn up for press conferences and meetings prior to the fight so a few days before the fight he was offered the fight for $2500 and was "in training" for two days and then offered the fight after Williams refused to get out of his car on the day of the fight.

Tony Wilson was a good boxer, but his chin let him down a couple of times, he got rocked by Mccarthy and was on the ropes, next thing his mum somehow gets in the ring, and not to stop McCarthy, but have him with a shoe!
The thing that always strikes me when i watch it is, it was in McCarthys home town of Southampton, so Mum was brave to go there in the first place as it would of been 99.9% of the crowd against her boy, and she was dressed as if going to a church on Sunday, plus she wasn't messing around once the idea entered her head.
On the plus side, Wilson won by 3rd round TKO as McCarthy refused to carry on, as he got cut by the shoe, and once it had all calmed down he said no to carrying on

He had a few in 2014 and has been knocking about Europe for a few years. I’d be surprised if he fought again. On the other hand, it wouldn’t surprise me if he tips up on a Malta card.

I remember that interview with him in BM when he talked about his ambition to become an astronaut. A few weeks later he was swinging a tree around a hotel lobby.

The earth would probably have left its axis and headed out to space if he’d have ever fought Golota.
