Porter vs Broner 2 for September 15

It will be a rematch on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather vs Amir Khan fight.Honestly i don't think Broner deserves a rematch because he didn't do enough to try to win the first fight but hold & fighting like he didn't won't to get hit, only thing i gave Broner credit for was that 12 round knockdown having Porter hurt. This is merely speculation and not likely to happen.

Mayweather wants it on the undercard. but Haymon is supposedly reluctant to put Broner in there again with Porter----at least until AB works on his flaws and demonstrates that he's not the gunshy fighter he appears to be since the Maidana bout.

Supposedly an interesting matchup between Spence and Thurman is more likely to happen. The undercard could certainly use some spice if Mayweather actually goes ahead and takes on either Berto or Mayfield. Think of the turnaround...more than a frecord 4 million PPV buys for the Pacquiao fight in May and maybe just 600,000 for A "dog" attraction against either Mayfield or Berto.

Incidentally, Mayweather's next bout will take place on September12, not September 15. The date you list is a Tuesday.

Yea theres no truth about a rematch, but it is true that Mayweather is trying to the make the fight happen, from what i heard Floyd Mayweather is trying to convince Al Haymon that it will be a good idea for his undercard, then there's chance that there may be a rematch, but it would cost Porter a lot of money to agree to fight Broner again, cuz he see himself as a headliner not a undercard guy.Theres a little chance that Al Haymon may let him fight Porter again because he feels Broner has a strong chance of losing again,In order for Broner to get the rematch he has to push his management to get them to agree to let him take this risky fight. Its up to Kenny Porter & Shawn Porter to say yes to the fight.

Ken Porter on a podcast already said we the stunt Broner pulled prior and after the fight he will not give Broner a rematch. He said there moving to bigger a better things

Didn't Porter earn $1 million for the Broner bout? How much bigger and better is it going to get for him unless he scored a bout with Mayweather?

Porter could probably earn another $1 million for a rematch, maybe more considering Broner would take a substantial pay cut. I'm certain that if the money was right, the Porters would take the rematch in a heartbeat.

Porter may be a headliner now, but not when the card includes Mayweather Jr.

It's a small chance that Kenny Porter will agree to take the fight again, but Mayweather Promotes fight also, if he offer the Porters the right amount money, then maybe Kenny Porter may take the fight. The decision is up to Al Haymon and Kenny Porter to make the fight happen again. If Haymon feels he's ready to fight Porter again & if Haymon get's Kenny Porter to agree to a rematch then it's a done deal, but it is still a risky fight for Broner though cuz if he loss,he will be fighting at small casino's for low checks.

Its not the money its the respect aspect of not helping Broner to make money off a rematch for the disrespect they can get that type of money for Thurman, Khan theres guys there he make that type of money with. Remember paid over million for A sides against no hopers so Porter can get that money without rematch

If Broner had a rematch clause in the contract for the first fight,Broner could immediate get a rematch wheater Haymon wants it or not,if it was not in his contract, there won't be a rematch.Kenny Porter don't want a rematch, cuz he don't like Broner calling the shots & he just don't like him. :box:

According to Kenny Porter, there was no rematch clause, and I am glad of it. Broner got his ass handed to him and should just lick his wounds and move on. Maybe Porter vs Thurman or Khan on the under-card? Khan vs any top welterweight contender would be nice...

Broner got absolutely clearly beaten against Porter. I don't see any reason for Broner-Porter 2, i'd much rather see Porter fight Keith Thurman, Amir Khan or even Kell Brook in a rematch. And i'd rather see Broner drop back down and fight someone decent at light welterweight.

Only reason for Broner-Porter 2 will be to right a wrong because the wrong loss. But I don't think it will happen.

Awful, pointless fight.

I can't stand watching porter fight. He seems like a nice guy, but his style is terrible.

Broner holding and pushing had a lot to do with that aswell

Guys are always holding Porter in fights because he's a inside fighter & a shorter fighter, who can hurt u if u let him get in your chest.Thats why ever Porter fight is a clinching fight.I agree theres no since of a rematch because Broner can't handle some of the guys power at 147 anyway. If stafford can't fix some of his flaws,he needs yo get a new trainer, cuz he won't win with Stafford in his corner.

Both Thurman and Porter turned down a fight with Spence on the Mayweather card.

I would rather see Porter fight Broner again, rather then to see him fight Spence,it's still to early in Spence career to get a big fight like Porter are Thurman. The kid only has 17 wins,Errol Spence still needs time to grow in the sport and develop more of his boxing skills, before he get fights like Thurman & Porter. :shame:

A back to back loss to Porter would send Broner to ESPN/Spike headlining territory; Haymon would be stupid to do that.

Who thought it was smart to put Broner, who probably should have just entered the 140 pound division, in with a fornicating truck at 147?

Why does this keep happening to this guy? Does Haymon not like him? Why would any logical person guide Broner's career this way?

Broner could have gotten Gamboa and Burns before Crawford. Never would have fought Crawford because of the whole HBO shit, so he'd still be good. Broner would have been worth twice as much if he went that route, and it's not to say that everyone didn't say so at the time ... and then especially after the Malinaggi fight.

I'm not buying this fight is happening. An instant rematch? Why? Fight was conclusive and clear. Dont think this will happen. It shouldnt. Why would Broner even want to? If/when he loses to Porter again his career is in the toilet. Start over, knock over some more cans, talk more sh*t, rebuild.

Should have been even clearer. Broner should have been penalized a minimum of one more point earlier on.

It's not that Haymon doesn't like him. Haymon think he's better than he actually is and thought Broner would be the next Floyd.

Everybody knows Broner is not a next Floyd Mayweather,The Porter fight proved that he is only a average fighter, with a big mouth.Broner been exposed by Porter & Maidana & yet he loves to talk trash.Adrien Broner haven't had a impressive win since the Gavin rees & Demarco fight.
