Mayweather Sr said u can't keep making excuses for people. You can't keep making excuses. If he knows that there is something that he didn't do right,he knows right from wrong. If he did it wrong and got his ass whopped, thats what is suppose to happen.Floyd Sr say's he looked like a bum ,first he needs to learn how to fight. If he wants to learn how to fight,he needs to come see me-or else forget it,done, all the sh*t with these girls and drinking,is not going to get him nowhere.

That's pretty funny because 3/4 years ago he was being touted Floyd Mayweather Jr's "protégé" and being a sort've mini-Mayweather. Just goes to show you how quickly things can change...

I never liked Broner because of his attitude, and I never bought into the mania that surrounded him as the Americans' were building him up... But that said, I do think that it's pretty sad that he's being ridiculed and thrown under the bus now, just because he's lost a couple of fights.

:shame:

Come on guys.No Broner is not a p4p fighter. But he is a damn good fighter who has a decent record.
He won't be a great welterweight. But to call him a bum is a joke.

Well said tiny, we shouldn't get caught up in the name calling of Floyd snr and Boner.

I wonder how Sr would assess himself having never won a world title. :salut:

I was about to say broner is a better boxer than Floyd snr ever was , broner is more like Floyd snr than jr in that he doesn't appear to give it 100% where as junior is completely focused

I think Sr is correct that Broner needs to upgrade his camp and trainer but i don't necessarily think that Sr is the answer. The last thing that boxing needs these days is another world class fighter dancing around like a ballerina in big fights while clutching and grabbing. Sr has turned his sons exciting style into something no one wants to watch. Sometimes you can still lose when you get the win. Jr's last two fights have been the most boring fights in history.

I'm NOT a Broner fan but I'm not a fool. This guy has tremendous skill, speed, decent power and chin. He needs to surround himself with an experienced trainer like Jackson, Roach or Garcia to reach his potential. I still think that he has what it takes to be a top 5 P4P guy.

Who are these mysterious Americans who were building Broner up?

If 1 out of 1000 people in America recognize the name Adrien Broner, I'd be stunned.

Just because everyone in the U.K. knows every world class pugilist in their own country, don't think the same is true in the U.S.
America has too many superstar athletes to actually keep track of, especially when it comes to boxing.

It's a sport that's ignored unless a "Fight of the Century" is upon us

Just let me take a shot in the dark here and say I would assume he meant American *boxing* fans

I cant stand Broner....love watching him get his ass beat. With that being said...."Americans" bought into the hype?? Hes a 3 division champ who didnt get his ass beat til division #4...the toughest division n boxing.

GGG moves up to 175 and get Kovalev....hes gettting destroyed. Does that mean hes a bum?? Nah means he bit off more than can chew. Broner should be a 135 but he tried to do a Floyd to quickly.

Exactly ... but since people don't like him, they forget this guy was a beast at 135.

It was probably a huge mistake for him to leave 135 and make a quick jump to the welter division.

But I suppose his braintrust couldn't resist the thought of earning a title fight with the smallish Malignaggi, who was pretty much a blown up lightweight too.

He does look buff at jr. welter/welter, but his physique doesn't translate into physical strength and power. That may change in time, but he also has to overcome the gunshy attitude he's demonstrated since Maidana.

But the guy is no bum. He's a better fighter than Floyd Sr. ever was.

A motivated Broner at lightweight would be a force for anyone. He could easily be the best in the division.
He's to small for welter. Competitive at light welter but I'd fancy Crawford or Matthyse to beat him.
Such a talented fighter. If your go out your way to be a hated fighter, you've got to win fights to make the public interested otherwise you become irrelevant.
In The UK we had Eubank and Hamed who acted arrogant. A large proportion of the public wanted them to lose. And watched live or on television to see this happen. But because they kept winning the public kept viewing.
If Broner starts winning at Lightweight he will start becoming relevant again, and he'd get the attention he obviously craves.

The bottom line is that he's saying Broner fought like a Bum, of which he'd be correct in his statement. People forget how much trash Broner talked before the fight, how he showed up at Porter's gym talking crap and being disrespectful.

I don't feel no sympathy for that pathetic clown who calls himself the next Floyd, please!! Mayweather ought to distance himself as much as he can from this clown, he showed that he doesn't know how to effectively counterpunch, lacked any real defense (people compared his generic shoulder roll to Money's, lol) and showed he had no real foot movement either.

Anyone who thinks Broner is impressive against the elite level WWs need to have their eyes checked or head examined.
