Can't see K2 bidding anywhere near that sort of money, they bid $7.1m for Povetkin and $7.25m for Pulev. Unless someone goes crazy I don't think it will reach far past 8 figures if at all. Should find out in about an hour anyway.

Matchroom could win this if they are serious. Sky PPV should generate in excess of $ 10 mil which is more then any other promoter can afford.

Sky take half of that though and there's all the other costs associated with putting on a show like this. Also have to consider that there's already a PPV planned for September/October with Brook headlining, to do two in the space of a month would be a huge risk, they got a lot of stick for it with Brook-Gavin, when the other was Mayweather-Pacquiao.

They wouldn't come close to 1m buys, there's only been three shows in history that have come close to that sort of numbers, Hatton-Mayweather, Mayweather-Pacquiao and Froch-Groves II. From the looks of things Hearn isn't bidding anyway.

It's Vlad Hryunov, Frank's Russian business partner, manages the Chudinovs and Ustinov.

Agreement reached at last minute, October 24th in Dusseldorf.

Maybe it would be better for Sky just to settle for the TV rights if K2 promotions win... Would cost them less and they could still quite easilly stick it up on PPV for £16.95..!

Sure they wouldnt recieve any of the gate or international TV rights, but they also wouldnt have to pay the fighters... or anyone else for that matter... (excluding K2 for the TV rights of course. about $5milish perhaps???)

They bottled the purse bid big time, obviously didn't fancy it without a stadium available and took the easy option to guarantee they had it on allegedly.

Hmmm Oct 24th is the day after my wedding anniversary. Wonder if I can book us a romantic weekend away to Germany so I can watch the fight live...

If it had gone to purse bids I think it would have been very interesting. Rumours of an £/$ 18 million bid from an 'outsider' could have made the agreement between the two parties a little easier however.

Its all quiet from Warren, allegedly and the like on twitter regarding this fight. Surely if they have TV rights sewn up, they'd be all over this? Wouldn't be at all surprised to see this on Sky Box Office.
