Now that Brook/Rios fell through, I'm all in with you on this one. A trilogy is almost guaranteed with this one so why wouldn't they do it? Neither guy is relevant at the top of the division and won't be challenging for a title in the near future so why not? Ward and Gatti were in similar situations when they hit the jackpot with their trilogy. They weren't making that kind of money fighting anyone else.

Rios has been hurt by Alvarado. Prov's chin was proven as depleted uranium against Matthysse. Rios can't outbox him as Matthysse/Algieri & neither he can brawl and stop him. Mismatch, Prov by brutal TKO inside 8!

My first inclination is to go with The Provoglodyte but Rios could actually make this very competitive and win a tight decision.

I'd pick Rios. I thought Provodnikov showed little head movement and walked in straight lines against Matthyse.

Rios could outbox Prov, but would end up getting dragged into a war probably after 30 seconds.
