Have you tried the dipping belt (Pullum Sports), I think it's safer than dead lifts.

Try partials in the Power Rack, start from four inches below knee. Still a very productive exercise (especially in the 15 - 20 rep range) but much safer than doing from floor.

Colin Baxter an ex pro boxer. He doesn't compete but is mega strong for his weight. I reckon if he trained purely for powerlifting he could get upto 270-280kg no probs. when he boxed at middleweight he could deadlift 240kg.

I split my sternum a few years back then made it worse by doing dips...it doesn't give me much jip these days so I avoid dips just to make sure

If i start deadlifting again will i get a better position at my job ? Will they(The managers) see me as too alpha to work a
lowly degrading position anymore ? I'm thinking perhaps very likely,on the condition my back disc doesnt fly out of socket.
On Bodybuilding.com they mock all these deadlifters that throw they're backs out. Everyone joins in and posts "Thank You Snap-Back Gorilla". They all band together like a bunch of male groupies cheering on a hard-core band in one of them random indoor underground arena shows.

I reckon I will get three times body weight soon enough. Don't think that makes you world class btw. Specially since we don't take gear. 265 is decent tho but you've got the size

Actually hurt my back a year ago doing deadlifts. Haven't touched then again. However, I did 315 lbs when I hurt myself. But, I did complete it. The deadlift is the most monstrous compound exercise. Hits more muscles than any other.
