Dan Rafael makes Froch look like a FOOL

I'm not a huge fan of Dan Rafael but I have to commend him on this one. I'm not sure what was going through Froch's head with sending that tweet but it was not one of his smartest moves. Rafael made Froch look pretty foolish and it's certainly not a great way for Froch to end a pretty darn good career. It sounds silly to say but does this put Froch into a position where he now HAS to take the fight with GGG? I know that I wouldn't want to end my career on this note, what do you all think?

In what world does this mean he has to fight GGG?

This is the type of crap that kills me.Where a 38 year old fighter who is ready to retire
has to fight some younger stud for his last fight.People thinking that a fighter needs to be
knocked out to ride off into the sunset.
Freaking unbelievable.Yeah lets sacrifice an old semi-retired guy to GGG.

WTF the semi-retired 38-year old would post "Too big, too strong for GGG" ? If you are f4cking afraid to fight, just retire.

Froch is far more proven than GGG, have a little respect, it makes you look a pudendum.

Not sure how one of the sports least respected journalists posting his opinion on Twitter makes Froch 'look like a fool'

Who talks about being proven ? OK, if you want to talk about it: two times when Froch fought above European level, he lost to Dirrell and Ward.

But again, I didn't talk about being proven. What I am saying is: if Froch doesn't want to fight, he shouldn't issue twitter challenges even if he was more proven which he isn't.

First of all he didn't issue a twitter challenge.

If that's the way you look at Froch's resume get back in touch when GGG fights above European level, okay? :TU:

I don't see how Rafael can say Calzaghe would have fought GGG, where's the proof of that?

Maybe if Joe had fought one of the younger champions around 2008 like Pavlik, Dawson or even Froch himself, but he didn't, so how is he relevant to Froch's decision not to fight GGG?

More importantly, Rafael looks like a cross between that guy that tried to smuggle the Dinosaurs off the island in the original Jurassic Park and the toy collector from Toy Story.

He looks like a cross between the same guy?

Yeah, Wayne Knight was the guy in Jurassic Park and also was the guy in Toy Story 2, he voiced him and was the basis for the character.

Yeah, those local Belgian, Italian and Mexican judges.

I can't wait till GGG gets beat so fans like you disappear back into the woodwork. :TU:

Abysmal post.

Why don't you want to be a credible poster?

Lmao at Fat Dan's Calzaghe comment. As if he took on all comers. SMH. The dude hid across the pond until the coast was clear and Roy Jones was a horribly faded corpse. Then he came to the States. What a brave man. Spare me, Dan. You're barking up the wrong tree here.

Froch doesn't have anything to prove. Not to me, anyway. Brilliant career.

Do I think Froch would've beaten JC? No. I don't. But that's besides the point. The point is Rafael acted as if JC was fearless and took on all comers in their prime. Absolutely not the case.

Why don't you ?

Froch is posting a challenging/provoking tweet, so he deserved reaction like "fight or shut up".

Dan Rafael makes me sick - he's a fat slob blowhard.

He clearly knows shit all if he thinks Calzaghe would have taken on GGG at the age of 38. Calzaghe fought a completely shot RJJ at that stage of his career.

What a moron.

If Calzaghe had Froch's bollocks, he would have had a far better career, instead of frittering it away fighting part timers and cab drivers during much of his WBO reign.

So to clarify.

If you're European, you cannot be world class? So Kessler, and Bute wins were not wins over world class fighters?

Also Taylor was not a world class fighter? Pascal either? They weren't European, but you must be saying they weren't world class seeing as you said he has only fought 'above European level' twice.

He didn't lose to dirrel, no matter what you think, the result was a win. It's there in the records, you can stamp your little feet and wail all you like, but the history books will show that Carl won.

Ward is unbeaten, he's easily beaten everyone he's faced - your point is?

You clearly have some sort of hang up regarding GGG and Froch - I'm not sure what your problem is - if you can't see that of the two men the only unproven one is GGG, then you are beyond help.

OK, Bute, Pascal and Taylor wins were good, and some European fighters are good. However, Froch has 2 (should be 3) losses, so he has proved himself as a very good but not top p4p boxer.

... and once again, my main point was that whatever proven he is, it doesn't give him right to send challenging tweets without having intention to fight.
