Demetrius Andrade vs Anthony Mundine looks like it's going to go ahead in Melbourne for the end of September.
I read here and have asked a few people, managers in the know and things could be announced this week.

Who do you think wins? Andrade has been out of ring for 13 months.

Not sold on Andrade but I have never been sold on Mundine either.

His last two times out Mundine was not competitive with Clottey then barely scraped by Rabchenko and was visibly hurt numerous times in the fight.
I think Andrade should be favored here but Mundine won't go away easy.

Promoters will freeze out guys like Rigo and Gamboa but this p.o.s. Mundine keeps getting the hook up. Sad really.

Good fight to get the ring rust off. Andrade needs to get off his high horse a little, and take fights like this to showcase his skills. He is a top 3 guy at 154 in my opinion, and won't get the good fights sitting. This fight is a mismatch, but glad he is fighting at least.

Hooked up? Or is it because he can draw a crowd and money in Australia?

I really don't know. He's always in the talk for big fights, so I'm assuming he's offering a big reward, right?

Mundine faced better competition in the pro's Andrade as a excellent career in the punch for no pay rank's....... Mundine has seen that before and
came out on top........... I believe he will again turn back the clock and win a close dec same as the Rabchenko fight :TU:

I think the offer represents a career high pay day for Andrade. Over twice as much as he's ever made before.

From what I have read Anthony Mundine is worth around $50 Million USD.

I think those two factors are why his name is always in the mix and why he can get big fight after big fight.

Long time between drinks. Far from ideal.

and against brian rose of all people, then 7 months before that, so in 22 months he will have
only been in with a domestic british level fighter or maybe euro title contender at best.
his "win" over vanes was hardly impressive, and that was the best opponent he has faced
by far. i'm not saying andrade isn't a decent fighter, but mundine would be his second best
opponent if you think mundine is worse than vanes, and vanes dropped andrade and gave him
a very close fight. mundine probably represents best risk-reward ratio for andrade right now.
it's a winnable fight for him that pays more than anyone but the canelo, mayweather, manny,
cotto, sweepstakes.

Hometown advantage didn't help when blown up welteweight Clottey walked right through "The Man".

They couldn't give him the clottey fight, he knocked mundine down 5 or 6 times

Mundine has literally no chance in hell of actually beating Andrade. The judges could be paid off but I imagine if he's as shot as he showed vs Clottey he's gonna be on the canvas here a few times and they wont be able to rob Andrade. Andrade is a better fighter than Clottey currently and its not close.

Good chance if he isn't KD a few times he will get the decision, Botha fought sonny bill Williams in a 12 rounder and Botha was coming on strong in the 10th then the ring announcer said there was 30 seconds left in the fight, somehow it went from a 12 to a 10 rounder

a couple of years ago i might have picked clottey. now, i might pick andrade but i think
that fight WOULD be close, maybe with andrade tasting the canvas again.
