Cracking fight, love to see it over 10. Was impressed with Carus who has lost to journeyman Hamidi in the past. Looks as though Stalker isn't gonna progress past area level

Spot on Carus dug deep. Draw was a fair result IMO.

Was this shown after the main event ? I went to bed after that and presumably missed it ?

I wouldn't mind seeing it again, a draw seemed fair,as much as I like Stalker as a person, he just hasn't convinced me as a pro,he seems to get massive praise for his quality even when throwing bread and butter punches

stopped watching after 3 rounds , where it looked as if Stalker was taking over and it wouldn't be as competative as the first two , wished I had kept watching now

Best fight of the night , shame the great majority of the audience had left after the main event.
Stalker started well but real credit goes to Carus who dug deep showing lots of heart and courage. He came on strong and finished the better , he was well worth the draw IMO .

It's worrying how easy to hit Stalker is.
I personally had him winning 78-74 I just preferred his quality.
Hopefully he improves at area level.

Stalker clearly not a puncher and doesn't seem too resolute physically, must be so hard to progress when you haven't got any kind of dig to discourage an opponent

I don't know who is backing Stalker financially, but I am sure that they were expecting him to get way beyond area level in order to see some return on their investment.

It now looks as though that is not the case - I wonder how long they will continue with their support?

At his age and even in a relatively weak domestic division, it seems very unlikely that he will get to British title level and the payback wouldn't start until at a higher level than that.

His age is a big factor here.

He would have to be extremely active and go on a winning run to reach the heights he was expected to.

Catterall will be at British title level for the next 18 months and he's already proven he's a few levels above Stalker.

Such a shame as he's a nice guy and was a model amateur who helped settle a lot of the younger squad members at big events.

I had Stalker edging this one by two points, but couldn't argue with the draw.

Excellent eight rounder. I'd love to see them go again over ten with the Central Area title on the line (if it's vacant). It would make a cracking bill topper on a midweek show. Sadly, those shows seem to be a thing of the past on TV.

If Stalker had used that excellent jab of his a few more times each round, the fight was his. When he thumped the jab home, Tom was on a different level. Credit to Carus for realling digging in and earning his draw.

Is there two much of a weight differential, but I would like to see Stalker vs Neil Perkins - where is Perkins.

I had stalker winning 5 rounds , an sharing another. Carus dug in the last few but was never a draw, but fair play to him
