I like Chris but it looks like he's past it--knocked out by Stiverne, life and death win over Harper, now a draw with Kassi.
Does he still get a shot at Wilder?

I watched it and think Fred was robbed. Close fight, but Kassi did more. I had him up by two.
Arreola is so fat. He has such skinny arms, he'd be a light heavy in shape.

He actually won his national amateur title at 178. He was chubby even around 220, so I suspect that if he dropped a layer of fat he could at least make CW.

Easily. He is at minimum 20% bodyfat, and probably closer to 30%. That gives him 50-75 pounds of lard to cut. Light heavy may be a stretch, but he's not carrying much muscle mass and could probably make it.

Deontay Wilder is more likely to fight Arreola now, since Chris has looked like a shot fighter in his past three fights.

Arreola is a loser.
After seeing him vs Harper I took a shot on Kassi at 15-1 odds. Feeling salty right now. Not a loss
at least.
Arreola shouldn't be -2500 against my dead grandfather.

You got screwed, bro. Kassi won that fight.

Oh well. I couldn't believe the odds. Kassi actually looked pretty decent vs Mansour before the violent 1 punch KO. Mansour is better than Arreola whereas Arreola looked awful against a total bum in Harper.
Problem with fights like this and huge underdogs - even when you get them right you are at the risk of losing to the house fighter. Comes with the territory.

Arreola did say if gets a shot to fight Wilder he would need to get in better shape.

He's known that his whole career, and has never once been in top shape. Sure, he's been able to go the distance, but he has never truly dedicated himself to the game. I'm not sold on Wilder, but Arreola would be an easy easy night for him.

Arreola is one of the greatests wastes of talent I have ever seen at heavy.
He just refuses to make the sacrifices in the gym to be the elite guy that he can be.
And it just be way too late for him to change this far into his career.
As he is now, he can't even get himself in shape enough to be a gatekeeper.

I reckon David Price could beat Arreola

I reckon Vegas would refuse to give odds on that fiasco...but, I must admit that I'd watch that trainwreck.
Hell, I want to see this one badly come to think of it....

No shot at getting a Wilder fight. He is way below gatekeeper status now, and yes, way too fat.

I'd like to see it, would be a strange one but intriguing. Think Pricey has been bombed out but not taken the punishment of Arreola, he could outbox the shopworn Chris but Arreola has that power somehwere in that flab to get Price out of there

I think he has just as good as anyone to fight Wilder. Wilder's camp is going to take the path of least resistance. Even with the weight issue aside, Arreola looks to be done. His fighting style and the second Stiverne fight have taken a lot out of him. Even is Chris gets down to 235, I don't think he has a legit shot to beat Wilder by the way he looked last night.
I thought the fight last night was a draw. I could see 96-94 for Kassi as well. I didn't have a problem with the judges scoring. I'd like to see Arreola get the Wilder fight for the payday and ride off into the sunset eating tacos.

Close fight, a draw sounds about right. Not a robbery. Arreola landed a lot of nice shots to the body.
Body shots are often underrated IMO.
Arreola's best fighting days are behind him. Yeah, I guess that's kind of obvious.

Pretty sure Haymon had Arreola lined up for Wilder, but he does still have Szpilka if he wants to keep it " in house". Have seen rumours that Wilder is fighting "a Polish fighter" elsewhere.
Fujimoto was meant to fight Joseph Parker, but pulled out because he said he was a chance for a shot with Wilder - that would be the easiest fight Wilder could take, so a possibity..

If i'm Wilder, i'd definitely give Arreola a shot next. His name still carries some clout even though he's clearly close to the end of his career and has nothing left. It would be a nice addition to his record.

Or perhaps Wilder is actually MORE LIKELY to fight Arreola now, since Chris looks like a completely shot fighter.
