Not sure if winding up wladimir is the best ploy haye tried it and wladimir completely dominated him , he might of been better off playing the nice guy for a change

Five more fights when he's already 39 and only fights twice a year.....wouldn't be surprised if he gets caught past his best by someone he would've handled easily a few years before, at which point certain posters will act like he was shitt all along and would've lost like that against anyone decent.
I would like to see him beat Fury, make two more defenses to surpass Holmes, then retire on top.

Finally a good post where Wlad is concerned.
I agree on all counts, but you forgot one.
Those same "certain posters" will claim Wlad is ducking "insert up and comer here" when he retires no matter who of the current crop he beats.

Wlad needs to win 3 fights to pass Larry Holmes' 20 title defenses. Needs to win 7 to match Joe Louis' 25 title defenses. Unless he get's an injury I think it's very possible.
Fury
Glazkov
Wilder
Povetkin (rematch)
Browne/Chagaev
Charles Martin (if he keeps winning)
Teper/Szpilka

None one giving Fury a chance then eh? I actually think there's a decent chance of an upset here, I don't think Fury can outbox Wlad from the outside, but he's the better inside fighter and could have some success roughing Wlad up. That said, Fury has been knocked down by far lesser punchers, so he needs to keep his hands up and stay defensively responsible or it will be a short night for him.

Decent chance? Whats a "decent" chance? 10%? 20%?
I give him little chance....because his chin BLOWS. And so does his defense. This ends early.

I'd say a 25-30% chance. I think he has improved a lot, though as you say, there still a very good chance of an early KO win to Wlad - in fact, I think that's probably Wlad's best plan of attack - to be aggressive and go for the KO. I will be interested to see if Fury fights southpaw or orthodox.

Fury has been dropped by cruiserweights and cab drivers. Wlad's JAB is harder than anything those guys throw. This will be ugly. Jennings, who has a fantastic chin, walked through hell to get close enough to Wlad to do some good work here and there. Fury has shown me nothing to indicate he can walk through the same hell to do work on the inside. He'll get caught and hurt before he gets where he wants to go. He's not nearly as nimble as Jennings to avoid the heat Wlad will throw at him.

Fury hasn't fought anyone Klitschko's size - pretty much all his opponents have been small HWs. His best win is Chisora, who was KOed cold by Haye.
I don't think Fury is 6'9". He actually looks about 6'7.5" when he stands next to Klitschko, who is about 6'6". So there's not that much of a size difference.
Fury looks soft-bodied and middle-aged, although he's 13 years younger than Klitschko. I think he's indimidated by Klitschko, his nasty trash-talk indicates feelings of inferiority and shows his mental weakness.
Fury will try to fight dirty like he did against Cunningham, but it won't work against a man who is very strong and closer to his own size.
I think Wladimir will win by KO.

I'd give him a 30-40 percent chance.
Wlad will be matched in the holding stakes.
Tyson hold and hits very well.
If Tyson fights 'dirty ' he could really take him to the trenches.
Fury has improved enough and Wlad has deteriorated enough to make this competitive.

That's what I thought (about Fury's height) when seeing them face off, although maybe Klitschko has better posture. Fury has never looked like an athlete and has always had some flab, but he is arguably the better conditioned of the two (in terms of stamina), despite looking far from it. I agree that Fury lacks experience against good, big heavyweights and he really should have more experience against big guys before taking on Wlad. If he had a win over a fighter like Wach or Helenius under his belt, I would rate his chances higher. I don't care much for the trash talk, Wlad is certainly the classier guy, but I'll be hoping for the upset because I think Fury is the more entertaining fighter.
