Consistent cheating

Haven't seen the fights, but people are saying Pascal never deserved his win but all 3 judges scored the same 96-94 cards, and people are saying Shumenov shouldn't have won against BJ Flores yet he scored 116-112 on all 3 cards

not saying anyone is wrong, but if there is any foul play, that's some suspiciously consistent dodgy scoring at 2 seperate venues on the same night

Gonzalez was robbed, Flores was not, and his fight was so abysmal that it's an injustice to put it alongside the former.

Id say Pascal got wobbled average 12 times a rd. and yet he won. Cubans bring zero money and get screwed all the time

I disagree completely. I had Pascal winning that fight or a draw. Pascal landed the most effective punches and his defense was WAY better. Gonzalez threw almost 300 more punches than Pascal and only landed 9 more punches according to the Punch Stats. Gonzalez had a 26% landing rate. You rarely see a boxer win a fight with a percentage that low. Pascal landed at 39% and those numbers really were accurate. Pascal also had Gonzalez almost out on his feet in the last two rounds. Pascal has a style that looks as though he's hurt but he's not. We're talking about one of the best chins in boxing here.

I actually agreed with both decisions. I think BJ really blew that fight in the later rounds. He didn't deserve the win.

I'd never use "punch stats" to make an argument, time and time again they are shown to be a pile of steaming crap. Trust your eyes, not that of a couple of guys at ringside pressing buttons :)

If you want a fun test just do round 1 of Angulo Vs Kirkland.

I have to agree with you there. Sometimes I look at those punch stats on wonder if I took a nap in the middle of the fight because I didn't see any of those punches land. But I really felt they were right on in this one. Gonzalez was a windmill the whole fight and Pascal dodged everything or ducked (which seems to be the big move now since Floyd did it all night to Manny). In my book, you should get dinged for a missed punch. It's equivalent to swinging and missing in baseball. Subsequently, the person making him miss should be rewarded for it. But honestly, who the hell knows anymore? Revamping the scoring system in boxing is way overdue.

I didn't think Pascal winning was a robbery.

It was a close fight that could have gone either way.

Close fight. I had it a draw.

Gonzalez punches turned to slaps when he got tired late on. Pascal looked the stronger man.
Would be a good rematch though. Was a great fight as most Pascal fights.

It was a close fight. I had it a draw. It isn't the robbery of the century.

I didnt score it but it was close,i thought Gonzalez would get the nod but....

Great fight though,Pascal can sure take a punch,it just goes to show how hard Kovalev hits

And to think i picked Cleverly to beat Krusher
