Yeah just heard that Lara is open to face the winner of Andy Lee vs Bill Joe Saunders.I honestly believe that Lara could have beaten Peter Quillin or Lee,he is the most accurate puncher i ever seen & also is quick an very talentive,he also have a lot of pop on his punches.

Sure bro i seen Floyd do that plenty times,just admiring Lara's talent,thats all Lara is a great fighter,he also deserves a title shot .I also seen Lara land 50 percent or more of his punches before.

I strongly doubt that Lee would fight Lara. What can he gain from that fight ? Certainly not more money than for facing middleweights.

I'd like to see Lara vs Floyd, that would be great. In marathon race that is. I wonder which is the faster sprinter and which the long mileage type guy. They can drape themselves in spandex because it makes them faster and just run around.

Boxing needs to stop rewarding these clowns with title shots and other big fights. Lara is not a boxer, he's a sleeping aid. No one want's to see him in the ring.

Nobody mention the fact that it could be Billy Joe Saunders that beats Lee. If so I'm not sure Lara gets that shot.

Lara won't get either fight. Beat him and you look bad, lose and you look bad...either way you get paid crap. He keeps getting tv time and stinking the place up by being too tentative. I understand the sweet science, but being tentative against non punchers isn't going to endear you to fans nor help you get the bigger fights.

What would Lee or Saunders benefit from fighting him, a loss and a couple of quid? Oooh what an incentive...

Ask Trout how well Lara does against southpaws.

Thread title is misleading. Of course Lara is open to a world title shot. Doesn't mean it will happen. Hopefully Lee beats Saunders, maybe has a voluntary defence (although the WBO top 15 doesn't have many big names) and then unifies with Golovkin who could have 3/4 belts soon.

Lee already said that he would want rematches with Quillin and Chavez after Saunders. Not sure why people think that he would fight Lara instead.

Schooled Paul Williams? Are u high? It was a very close fight, VERY FAR from schooling. He also didnt Beat Canelo, He has that legit L on His record so get over it, Lara will get KO'ed against Lee.

Lara has fought a who's who of opponents. No one has knocked him out and he arguably has never lost a fight. Yet Andy Lee WILL KO him. Andy friggin Lee. Your sheer bias is seeping through your pores. You sound like a buffoon.

Lara who fought Williams, even though showing good movement, stood his ground and fought Williams. I think that after getting hurt by Angulo multiple times, he started running a lot more. He didn't even try to finish journeyman Rodriguez. Judges don't like this style unless it is used by a hometown fighter.

On the other hand, Lee succeeds as a counter-puncher. I am not sure how he will look on a front foot against somebody as skilled as Lara. It may become a super-boring "chess match" where both fighters will wait for a mistake from the other guy.
