After Kiko Martinez was over these shores again it got me thinking of who my favourite export is? Export meaning someone who has boxed over here a few times. Guys like Carson Jones, Khomitsky etc... I thought Manuel Medina was always good value. Won/lost against Harrison, great battle with Paul Ingle where things nearly unravelled for Paul and gave Naz an awkward nights work, catching him flush a good few times! I am just going off the top of my head here.

Yeah he had crossed my mind actually. Quite an underrated fighter IMO.

I quite like Michael Katsidis and Kevin Johnson.

The belarussian guy that beat vanzie and steve murray forget his name now...

Some good names there - also Sergio Martinez.

Although I am patriotic and always support British sportspeople, I do like it when a boxer is brought over and then wins, then they are brought back and they win again (something about the underdog spirit I guess).

Ramanau (spelling). He beat Thaxton too I'm sure and lost to Graham Earl not long after Burns had beaten him.

I didn't know Belcastro had fought here before other than the Naz Euro title defeat. He was a wee character lol.

There were quite a few Eastern European imports around that time, they had mixed success. Yuri Yelistratov had a couple of wins between losses over here.

I remember a guy called Andreas Galfi who smacked Glenn Catley around then lost in the rematch. I'm trying to think of a lighter weight dude who caused a few upsets, around super bantam...mind is failing me.

Another guy who did ok over here is Mpush Mkambi (sp). Big gangly super middle from South Africa.

Me too. Tshifhiwa Munyai' s probably been my favourite. Buster Drayton also.

I had it in my mind that Benichou fought over here more than he did but a lot of his fights with British fighters were in his homeland.

He made a 12 round fight seem like about 50 rounds lol.

Hence the use of misfortune. I think his fight with Nardiello is possibly one of the worst 12 rounders I've ever endured.

Surely not worse than Skelton v Sprott? I put my balls in a vice after that as penance for watching all 12 rounds.

It was awful.

Only fight I've ever seen where the crowd was completely silent. Douglas/Tyson doesn't count!

Affif Djelti turned over a few of our boys at Super Feather. His was a great story; turning pro at 31 and losing his first four fights etc.
