Danny Garcia wont KO Malignaggi

Malignaggi is a somewhat durable fighter. Danny has decent pop in his hands but he isnt all that active. Paulie is a decent enough boxer to make this an interesting fight though. I expect a 117-111 Danny Garcia type victory though.

bottom line this fight is going to the score cards

Danny Garcia (Unanimous Decision) 117-111 , 116-112 , 116-112

If he cant KO the shop worn Paulie then he might as well go back down to LWW, or his favourite weight of 143.

that is where i disagree. Dannys boxing ability is a little overrated, and Paulies is being a little underrated for this fight i think. Dannny is good, just not thaaaat good. We will see in a few hours though.

I still think Brook, Porter are better fighters than Garcia

I have to give Paulie props for taking on the young lion in his prime. On his side, no one expects him to win, but surviving or making a good show of it is a victory. I don't belittle Danny either, because he is taking on an experienced guy testing the waters at 147.

Danny has already fought as a WW and Paulie isn't any bigger than Peterson, Garcia's last opponent. In fact, Danny looked the significantly bigger man of the pair at the weigh-in.

Considering this and that Paulie hasn't fought for 15 months, was heavily stopped in 4 rounds in his last fight, has a single win in nearly the last 3 years, and only scraped by with a SD against Cano in his win before that, it's a pretty uninspiring fight in my opinion.

FYI, This is the first fight at full welter for Danny. (147)

I know, but he's already fought at WW, faced opponents just as big or bigger than Paulie, and is clearly the bigger man, so I don't think the extra pounds will be an issue.

I feel for Mora,he usually bores me when he fights but i was a massive Contender fan and always root for him but tonight he was on the verge of being in a mini classic,he may have been on his way to getting stopped early but after what he done in that 1st round, who knows,it might have turned out to 1 of those crazy fight, that injury looked painful,as he said both knee and ankle bore the brunt,i'd love a rematch but i can understand Jacobs wanting to move on and Sergio looks like he'll be out for a while

Jacobs looks vulnerable to me. I've suspected a shaky chin for a while and even though he didn't appear seriously hurt the KD doesn't help remove those fears.

I've heard talk of him vs Quillin next and that would be a good match-up. Quillin didn't look so hot last fight but I'm confident that he'd hurt Jacobs at some point and I'm not sure if DJ could weather the storm like Lee did.

Danny had better have been watching tape of Porter.

That is the biggest problem Swift has in this fight, IMO.

He is not a pressure guy, and it is pressure guys that give Paulie the most trouble.

He must go after Paulie.

If Danny sits outside waiting for something big, he may be waiting all night.

Malignaggi is more than capable of duplicating what Herrera did.

If Danny stays outside like he did against Peterson, Paulie will have a field day.

Paulie is so awesome...but he is so far past it, IMO. Hope he gets out of this one with some dignity and calls it a day.
