Wat r your thoughts on his career so far and how far can he go. Currently wbc international champ and won a eliminator for british title. Has some of the best sparring in the country inhouse with burns and mitchell.

Nice ability but lack of power and retaining too much of his amateur style will hold him back from fulfilling on his early promise. British or European champion in the making but can't see him ever moving beyond that.

Agree with Boxing Prospect. Nice footwork and quite stylish but still retains that amateur (point scoring) style. Needs to sit down on his shots a bit more.

RE his power, I think it is hard to judge whether it has progressed just from Saturday nights performance. If I remember correctly it was Ryan Fuller that said the canvas was very wet and therefore it was hard to plant his feet.

But other than that, I agree with everything else that has been said.

I don't really rate him, they offered Ronnie Clark the fight on two weeks notice, he accepted the fight and then they decided to reject it, kinda gone off the whole politics and bull of boxing, a fight is a fight , kinda like the UFC mould where everyone just fights each other

I thought Hughes just edged it myself but Ward was unlucky with the knockdowns to be fair to him.

Don't really rate him off the coupke of times I've seen him, too amateur-ish in style and certainly didn't impress me in his last fight. Needs to improve a lot and I just don't see it coming.

He's a ten round amateur but pretty clever and seems tough. His lack of a really significant punch will be a barrier to getting right to the top, I admire the bravery of light hitting boxers - just getting in there knowing the other man hits a lot harder must take some getting your head around.
