The record here is held by a female, either Ragosina or Salandy, think they traded the record a few times. Roy Jones came close I think.

Salandy had-
WBC, WBA, WBE, WIBA, IWBF, WIBF, GBU and UBC
Following her win over Karolina Lukasik (for some reason the WBE and UBC aren't listed on boxrec for the bout)

Ragosina had-
WBC, WBA, WIBF, WIBA, IWBF GBU and WIBC
Following her win over Teresa Perozzi (boxrec are missing the WIBC title)

like it or not, this list of belts is always impressive
on his box rec record. he takes three times the space
of a regular belt holder.

his next fight is for the malta international title. i've been seeing guys with
losing records fighting for that title recently and never heard of it before a few
weeks ago. is malta trying to build itself up as a prestigious purveyor of boxing
titles, now? i noticed steve collins is the president and tim witherspoon the vice
president.

Recent multiple title holders relied on alphabet belts, many of them close to worthless, to fill their trophy cabinets.

Back in the days when there were only 8 recognized world titles. That is one recognized title in each of the 8 weight divisions. Henry Armstrong held 3 of them at the same time. At one time he was world featherweight, lightweight and welterweight champion.

Nobody in recent times has ever done anything remotely approaching that feat.
