And this article mentions only reason he turned down PBC fight was due to the purse being smaller. Even though he said he's not greedy and he made enough money vs Pacquiao.

like it or not floyd mayweather is a man with
very few personal values. bringing hookers home
in front of his children, not keeping is word, ugly
display of wealth ... i do not even have to mention
domestic violence.

this has nothing to do with the "persona" he
presents, this is simply who he is. it is a pity that
the greatest boxer of this generation is among the
lowest in terms of character.

when he announced his title vacating stunt back
then it sounded like another marketing gag. who
on earth would care? and he giving other people
chances just short before he retires? there is a
large crowd buying this among a lot of other BS
shoved down their throats, but then he doesn't
even follow through with it? what a pathetic
character.

Baffles me that he hasn't vacated all of them years ago. Why the hell does he need titles at this stage?

Absolutely right.

Mayweather Jr is one of the few fighters that are bigger than the belts.

Even if he was stripped of or dropped all of his belts, everyone would still know he was the champ & he'd still be the one that everyone wants to fight & the fighter that would generate the most money.

He does not need stupid alphabet belts at this stage in his career.

I feel that way about all universally recognized champions.
Why waste your money on sanctioning fees.


On another note. I don't think I have ever read anyone ever defend Floyd's moral character. So him telling a lie is not a surprise.
