Does Santa Cruz remain undefeated?

I think he will get the win but it will be in a cracking fight. Mares is an excellent fighter and Santa Cruz is due a really good showing, he does throw a million punches and keeps in there. I hope it's shown in the UK.

Hopefully Mares knocks him out, can't stand LSC.

Nothing really against him as a person - I just find him boring to watch & don't like the way he's been so carefully managed.

Ah, I get you. He's in with a live one this time, Mares is very good and he won't be going out without a real scrap.

Last year i would've backed Santa Cruz but fighting low level opposition looks as though his skills are eroding,i wasnt bowled over by Mares last time out either and he's not been the most active since the Gonzalez KO so its an interesting fight

A couple years back when he was a Bantamweight world champ LSC was 1 of my favourite fighters and wasnt getting his dues being tucked away on undercards every fight and he looked good in blowing away Terrazas when he moved up to Super Bantamweight but since that his opponents have got worse and so have his performances,i do think Mares will bring the best out of him though and we'll learn more about Santa Cruz than we've done before,arguably the toughest fight of Mares career too

LSC on points I reckon. Good match up. Probably be 100mph pace from start to finish.

I don't really rate LSC. Mares could do this.

This saturday this one on BT Sports 2,cant wait, first big fight in a few weeks,ive sided with Mares in the prediction league but im chopping and changing. its a toss up,both guys best form was over a year ago or in Mares case a couple years ago,Santa Cruz has got the skills to outbox Abner but he's not been looking as good as i thought he'd be by this stage but i'll put that down to motivation due to the standard of opposition,he'll definitely be up for this and IMO the best Leo Santa Cruz beats the best Abner Mares but im not sure who's form is best just now

Yeah thats gonna be action packed,a lot of power from both guys going into that one

not sure how this one is going to turn out. i think if Santa Cruz shows any ability to get punches off early on, we'll see a lot of mauling and spoiling from Mares. if Santa Cruz isn't that threatening i think Mares will try to pot-shot a bit from the outside; I don't see Mares trying to exchange on the inside, either way.

Listings I've seen its on BT/ESPN (the channel that used to be ESPN UK) which makes sense as all the PBC on ESPN cards so far have been on that channel, as were the old Friday Night Fights before this replaced them.

You sure? couple of different listings sites I use (inc the BT site) are showing it as on live at 3am on ESPN/BT or whatever the channels called now.

Oh yeah I checked that localtv website earlier wasn't showing up anyway that's grand watch it first thing in the morning with the Mosley fight

Very good fight and i glad LSC is finally going to be involved in a meaningful bout. i'd have preferred this to be at Super Bantam as i think its both guys optimum weight class, i actually think the weight will favour the man moving up as its clear he's a big drainer.

Mares in a very close points win for me, he's mixed in better class and the Gonzalez fight aside has always proved incredibly sturdy, with a great all round game.

Lol but seriously who cares about that belt this is a good fight and one I am excited about. Just hope its the Abner that turned up against Ponce De Leon. He hasn't been in a decent level since Gonzalez smashed him. LSC hasn't been in with good level at all either massively overrated fighter.
