Who wins the battle of the travellers?

I'm edging towards Billy Joe outboxing him although its going to take an almost perfect disciplined display from him, really could go either way. Great fight can't wait for it.

At the moment I'm going for lee to win on points but come fight night I'll probably have changed my mind at least 50 times lol but who ever wins its gonna be a good fight

I'd slightly favour Lee, but Saunders does have a quite impressive resume at a certain level. If BJS can maintain his work rate for 12 rounds then he will win, if he needs a 3/4 round break like in most of his competitive fights then he will almost certainly lose.

Can't wait for this one. I reckon BJS will take it on points. I can't see Lee stopping him and I think BJS is slightly the better technician. His speed will be a key factor. Lee had a great result against Korobov but he was being out boxed until he landed and I never really thought Korobov was all he was cracked up to be. In saying that BJS let his lead slip against the inexperienced Eubank Jnr. It's a genuine 50/50 fight and has all the ingredients to be a cracker.

Yeah agree. I don't know if it's a fitness thing, a discipline issue or just his concentration but BJS does have a tendency to switch off. I've heard he isn't the best of trainers. Surely he'll be at his best for this one though. So much at stake.

Up until the Quinlan fight, I'd always given Saunders the edge. The odd thing is even though I felt Quinlan was a tad unfortunate not to get the nod vs Lee, Lee's performance in that fight cemented it for me that he is genuine world class and a top 5/6 Middleweight. Before that I've seen Lee as someone who can get outboxed but can land the equaliser but BJS amateur pedigree would hold him in good stead not to take such a shot (unlike Jackson, McEwan etc). However, Lee showed against Quinlan that his own skills are underated so now I am more on the fence.

Still just think BJS freshness might give him the edge - but I am far from confident on that one. I kind of hope for Lee because I really want to see Lee vs Macklin on the biggest stage.

I expect a man v boy scenario with Lee prevailing with relative ease. I'm perplexed by folk rating BJS. He seems to do everything 'alright'. I don't see anything he excels at. Never mind the Eubank/Benn et al era, McCracken and Eastman would've outclassed him.

I went for Lee on a gut feeling. Cracking 50/50 fight though, can't wait!

As much as I enjoy watching BJS, seeing him struggle consistently to box for 12 rounds makes me favour Lee in this one. Add in Lee's superior punch power & resume, and it doesn't look too great for Saunders.

But regardless of predictions, they are 2 of my favourite fighters, so I just hope the best man wins & it's a great fight.

Perhaps you are correct, but not sure what McCracken and Eastman excelled at either. McCraken was a good worker, but I am sure would admit was not the most naturally gifted and Eastman..... Eastman looked like he was always fighting in 2nd gear, but seemed to never find 3rd.

Really hope Lee wins,Always seems a Honest,genuine nice chap,whether he wins,loses or draws.
A few yrs ago,He was in few dull fights but Never gives excuses.
I have never heard him bad mouth his opponents,only giving respect.

He has reach against Saunders & Wisdom,I can just see (Hope) Billy walking onto Uppercut and then it's lights out.

Saunders to win,I think he needs to boxed Lee,He will outspeed Andy all night if he takes his time,slow the fight right down,conserve his engery & just counter.
If He presses forward looking for a stoppage or looking to bully Lee,I think he walks on to a shot.

I cant see Lee losing this to be honest and I'll be lumping on Lee again for this one. Lee needs to put it on him early and keep it on him. A good crowd will help his motivation early doors. Lee by late stoppage or points win in a competitive fight.

Saunders needs to employ classic "hit it and hop it" tactics if he has any chance of winning the title, and whilst I rate BJS and backed him heavily to beat CEJ I don't think he has the ability to keep that up for 12 against Lee.

I'm going over for it and cant wait for what should be great night.

Agree i think we've seen a different and better Andy Lee under the tutelage of Adam Booth. From the head to head Lee does look a bit taller than BJS i think BJS might struggle to convincingly win rounds against Lee and so even on the cards it could be difficult for him to win decisively. Also i think the fact that Saunders constantly fluctuates in weight can't be good for his career in the long term. Lee seems to be disciplined outside of the ring and always looks to be in decent shape. Just going through who they have each fought and the resume of Lee is substantially better than that of Saunders. He's simply been in there with a much higher class of opposition i know at times Lee has struggled but he's found a way to win more often than not. The fact the fight is in Ireland and being viewed as a sort of homecoming for Lee with Adam Booth as headline promoter can only go in his favour aswell. BJS went off 11/8 for the Eubank Jr fight. I couldn't really back him at any price shorter than this for this fight.

Any news on the undercard for this bill yet ?

Lee v Macklin will never happen now,Macklin is well gone passed his best and he would have to be at his best to have a chance with Lee.

I expect the main event will fall through as usually happens. I hope not, the last thing we need is for a last minute re-arranged main event. This is a quality fight and I think BJS will get a close decision.

There should be a Wazza button in the option who wins.
