That's how cards should be stacked....with good fights rather than with a bunch of recognizable names against overmatched foes.

Knowing Fwank's luck something will get called off, but he's put together 6 great fights so far, all signed, Walsh-Petrov is another and for once they haven't announced it before it's signed, if Catterall gets a good opponent that makes 8. Even if one or two fall through it's still a great show unless it completely falls apart.

Cheers bud. That Soro is on a decent run of form and Smith has been fighting largely fodder. That could be his undoing here.

Just read Tom Stalker is on the card against Craig Evans. Fancy Evans in that one.

Soro is a massive step up for Smith, IMO.

I understand Liam smith fights for the wbo title on this show. Has anyone heard or seen Liam confirm the fight is on ? I hope so, and it's a great move by fwank if it's going to happen but fwank has a habit of announcing fights that are not signed and sealed so I'm curious.

He was at the press conference this afternoon, Fwank finalised the deals for Magdaleno and Soro with Bob Arum in London yesterday.

Was still champion in the board circular from last week, waiting for date and venue for his mandatory against Kris Carslaw. Think that would mean that Carslaw will fight Gary Corcoran for the vacant title, but Smith might keep hold of the belt if he can so if he loses to Soro he can go for it outright in his next fight.

Great card,should be better then Hearns rule Brittania due to the main event being far better.I liked that show allot but the Brook-Gavin left the end of the evening a bit flat despite the quality boxing earlier.I hope it all holds together and sells well.

Abosolute belter of a card,i'd really struggle to pick a fav,all as close to 50/50 fights as you can get,Lee-Saunders is a flip of a coin and Magdaleno is a dangerous first defence for Flanagan,i thought Diego was harshly scored when he fought Martinez for the WBO Super Featherweight title a couple of years ago and i thought he nicked it,his younger brother Jesse can fight too,i dont think ive seen Soro since he fought Baysangurov for the WBO Light Middleweight belt a few years ago but i read about him KO'n Tapia and Blandamura

There hasn't been a month this year where I'v looked at any of Queensbury's domestic cards and thought 'jesus they must be paying through the ars e for that bill.' Not that I know that much about boxing promotion. allegedly have also missed out on Mayweather v Pac and from what we hear, been done out of Fury v Klitschko. That's a fair old bit of subscription money saved up from this year (again not that I know how their business works, you'll have to ask expe the insider who sits at the negotiating table aka his twitter account.)

This is allegedly 1 big domestic card of the year, just like Saunders v Eubank/Fury v Chisora was last year.

I noticed Ahmet Patterson is fighting Danny Butler in a British eliminator too.
