Anyone heard any fights for this card? Normally there are rumours but I haven't seen anything

Kal Yafai v Jason Cunningham for the British title is the only fight confirmed so far, usual names you'd expect are on there too but no opponents announced.

People on Twitter are saying eggington vs Gavin can't see it personally

I saw that all the tweets make it look possible. Normally the headline fight is already known to fans before the announcement that's why I asked thought I missed something.

Midlands middleweight title craig cunningham v lennox clarke. And judging by twitter and Facebook looks like gavin and eggington is on tho i hav heard another possible name in the mix.. Macklin is on undercard and Gamal fights for first pro title

He said he was going to move down after he lost to Brook, now he's taking another fight at welterweight and against a massive one too. He has enough ability to win the fight but I think Eggington might be too big for him.

I think Eggington beats Gavin too,he's the man in form and has the style for the pros,all wrong for Frankie and could even wear him down like he has done with all his recent opponents

He's got nothing to lose. Sam strikes me as a real tough lad and will take some serious power to hurt him Frankie just doesn't have that.

Gavin vs Eggington would be a very interesting fight, I'd actually say it's a 50-50. Eggington doesn't have the power or skills of Brook, and Gavin could well box his head off and get a wide points win. Equally, as pointed out above, Eggington could just wear him down and possibly force a late stoppage. Intriguing fight.

Oh yes, and I just hope it's a great show all round - Birmingham deserves a strong card after the shambles of May.

looks decent so far also add Macklin (I'd hope in something more than a tick over), and Gamal Yafai (read somewhere a bit ago he'd be challenging for the English) so does have the makings of a decent card. Saying that Gavin v Van Herden / Yafai v Megrino + Eggington, Macklin etc looked to have the makings of a good card last time.

Gavin just tweeted that the plan is still to go down to light welter but he got a really good offer belts and moneywise yesterday. It all seems a bit rushed to me day before the presser perhaps because they were struggling for decent opponents to make the show so Hearns thrown £ at it. But hey both lads have got mouths to feed fair play to them its their decision.

Do think its a bit lose lose for Gavin though, if he wins he's going down to light welter anyway so whats the point. Loses and thats him effectively finished.

50/50 fight in my book I'd slightly edge towards Gavin being too slick and skillful but can he keep Eggington off for 12 rounds? Guess we'll see. Two lads I've supported over the years gonna be weird watching them fight not cheering on either, just hope they both come out of it as best as possible.
