He might as well, he's rarely in a boxing ring!

Should worry more about keeping fit and progressing his boxing rather than "raising his profile".

I was at his debut 2 years ago in Sheffield. April 2013. Anthony has now had 8 fights but only boxed once in 2015, for some reason. I assume he had an injury problem, would be nice to see him get some of that momentum going again.
He appears to have boxed in the States twice, including at Boardwalk City, Atlantic City.....that sounds like a Super Six card to me...

He had surgery on both achilles, been suffering for a long time.

It's a strange one, with his Achilles problems you would have thought Dancing was the last thing he wanted to be doing all that pirouetting and whatever it's called, still despite my p word dancing is not my strong point so perhaps it's good practice for getting punched in the face, who knows?

Something to do while he's waiting to fight again and it will keep him reasonably fit in the process, plus he gets to dance with some sexy bit of stuff at the same time which will be nice.

Nothing wrong with that, every boxer should be trying to do this it makes them more commercially valuable, which means more fans, more money and so on.

Strictly pays very well. I agree with others that it's a risky move for someone with Achilles problems but you've got to keep the wolf from the door and Anthony may be of the opinion that he's not going to do that through boxing.

P.s. I would spend every waking minute trying to fire into my dance partner if I was on Strictly, particulary if it was that Russian lass.

If I ever have a son I will push him into ballroom dancing and the like, full of absolute Grade A bits of totty. The mrs watches strictly and the women are fit as eff. Such a massive trick missed by lads. I'd certainly have a go at it if I could turn the clock back!

A mate of mine went wife-hunting at Salsa classes, lil.

He was successful. Albeit his first kid with the poor lass was the spit of Jonny Tapia, not a good look for a girl.

F that, the women on there have more muscles than a boxer and are full of makeup, most of them would be ruff as without all the war paint!

that's one way to look at it. He seems like a nice fella does Ogogo. I knew nothing about his Achilles problem. What a pity. Maybe some kind of a condition he has. If it was self-caused then it would indicate he was training wrong and I can't see that somehow. The dancing thing takes up many hours of practice, it's well documented - and if you get with your dance partner then it's even more time consuming . well hopefully after his injury trouble it will give him something to get his teeth into

I'd rather Ogogo concentrate on his boxing career.

Surely dancing for hours on end will not do his injured Achilles any good. If I was a betting man, I'd put money on him pulling out at some point with an injury!

I think Ogogo will be remembered more as a semi-celebrity sportsman, with a good amateur boxing career, than a pro boxer in world title fights - partly through no fault of his own as I can't see him being able to compete at world level being so injury prone and having those terrible calf/heel problems.

He's got the chat, confidence and looks to end up presenting something on TV, maybe that is where he will end up.

He was in Big Brother a few years ago as well

It probably wouldn't take much to rattle her! She's seen more pricks than a second hand dartboard!

Hes recovering from a dislocated shoulder that he picked up in his last fight and I think he's had problems with it before too prior to turning pro,not sure if hes looking to have surgery on it this time as it seems like an ongoing problem for him.The lads had rotten luck with injuries.

Nothing wrong with getting himself some exposure over here whilst he recovers,he would only be working on strengthening that shoulder anyway but maybe needs to steer clear of lifting any fat birds

Wonder who's pumping the most money into his career Golden Boy or the Sauerlands?

Apparently he has a shoulder injury and can't punch for 16 weeks - didn't he have a shoulder injury the year before the Olympics?

I understand the move to maintain focus and fitness whilst improving his public profile, although I can't see how dancing for 8 hours a day will help his Achilles problems.

It is already 3 years since the Olympics and he will be out of the ring for at least 6 months+
