The Klitchko Brothers

Every discussion i've had with seasoned fight fans concerning the the K bros has varied wildly from they are bums looking good against tomato cans, to they are the perfect heavyweights.
How do you see either brother, at their best, fair against a prime Tyson, a prime Holyfield, a prime Homes, Ali/Joe/Young George?
Personally i rate them both highly but ofcourse neither are perfect. With Wlad's chin I could imagine Tyson ko 1 for instance, but feel like Vitali would fustrate Tyson by keeping him at distance and giving him a beating late in the fight.

They are not bums, and still they do not look good against tomato cans (majority of the opposition). They are just superheavyweights (in terms of size) who are using this advantage as much as possible. They looked good against small or slow HW. Usually not that good against bigger HW (Thompson 1, McCline), and especially if they had some speed on top of this (Lewis, Sanders).

Fair to say you really don't rate them all that highly then?
Whilst it may be hard to gauge given their level of opposition i think they show some very top level skills annd attributes. Wlad's jab & left hook lead or Vitali's chin for instance.

I'm not their hater (I like them, just hate watching their fights), so it really depends what do you want to rate
H2H they would be probably dangerous opponents for many ATG (though Wlad chin would fail often at this level) and Wlad will be probably considered ATG himself based on longevity and number of defences. They are always in shape, never involved in any scandal, have a sense of humour (

Still, this can not change the fact that their fights are usually boring. I guess this is because they use size advantage so much (plus Wlad's overcautious style and holding most of the time). When it comes to the level of opposition, it is just weak, though Wlad at least fights the best from what is available(which is still not really good, so I am just stating the fact, not blaming him)

Vitali's sheer size, power, strong chin and dare I say nastiness would have give him a reasonable shout angainst anyone...it is a pity that he lost of arguably some of his best years through injury.....Wlad has had the multiple defences, but I'd actually back Vitali to do better if it came down to sharing a ring with some like Foreman or Tyson. If you can go toe-to-toe with Lewis then you're a serious threat to anyone.

Yes! they are good, just glad they are about! I wonder who would have become the one to beat if the Klits were not about? It would have been "Bum of the Month" championship fights but with both fighters being bums!
