does anybody out there have foreman/joe king roman abc on live color video ? is anybody even interersted in this foreman title fight ?

I have it. It's not a live as fought broadcast though. It is a Cosell voice over. That's the version I have at any rate.

With had this before Lonis - ABC rebroadcast it - with Cosell doing the voiceover - it is not a live as fought commentary. Unless ABC done the closed circuit also and they have another broadcast??

it runs a bit over 13 min has post interview w / foreman its smoking

Its not as long as 13min...but it is the same version. It isn't a live broadcast. It is cosell reviewing the earlier action.

Was it Bob Sheridan who called the fight live closed-circuit for Video-Techniques Inc?
what was kind of odd was that the fight was seen live in the USA August 31st( Friday 9:30 CDT)
but was in Japan afternoon Saturday,September 1st.
Here is some trivia for you,also shown on the same closed circuit card was Jerry Quarry vrs James J. Woody from Las Vegas.

(BTW Is Quarry vrs Woody a "lost" fight too?)

As far as I have that I know of there are three versions of this fight :

1. Big Fights version
2. ABC Cosell reviewing the Live Footage
3. Closed circuit version - I cannot remember the commentators but I believe one of them was Len ??? who also commentated Norton vs Quarry - but I could be wrong on that point.

You know,now that I think about it,its been years since I have seen any of the ABC Wide World of Sports presentations
of the closed-circuit Heavyweight Fights of the 1970's on shows like ESPN Classic.
Anyone know why that is?
Is it because of the Howard Cossell Estate demanding them not to show them?
BTW Was it a "voice-over" of Howard Cossell on the ABC Broadcasts?
Didnt he actually go to Tokyo Japan and Caracaucus Venuezeula to cover the fight live(but recorded on tape)?
I mean these were heavyweight championship fights(back in the days when there still was only ONE heavyweight champion.
