No, not a follow-up series to Youth Hostelling With Chris Eubank. Boxed in Hong Kong last night on a WBC title fight undercard. Bit of a strange one this - not sure if it went ahead or if it didn't, I assume so - and for the WBC Asian Boxing Council middleweight title.

Didn't Hope relocate to Australia? So presumably it's some sort of Pan-Asian/Oceania thing? I suspect Boxing Prospect will know.

But Kerry Hope in Hong Kong does have the ring of a TV show I would watch.

Hope bossed it, according to our man at ringside. His Australian base enabled him to fight for this trinket.

6lbs over the limit, was he taking weight making advice from Paul Smith? Then he gets a lucky draw from the judges, a disgrace.

Wonder if film will ever emerge of this one, or Tso's bout. Don't think the card was televised though

Would sure like to see Hope's bout.

Have read Hope's team are very unhappy with the result. Manager Matt Clark claiming it was 10 rounds to 2 at worse and the worst result he's seen.

I haven't seen it yet. So I won't attempt to offer an informed opinion until I do.

Thai judges Visuth Yingaupagarn and Pongpan Rattanasutorn scored the fight 115-113 in favour of Singwancha and an equally questionable draw at 114-114.

“All I can say is that it was the worst decision I’ve ever seen,” exclaimed Matt Clark. “Kerry boxed well despite a heavy chest infection – I had it scored 118-110 – it wasn’t even close,”

“We will be launching a protest to the WBC in relation to the horrendous scoring.”

Not the first time he has been robbed he very clearly should have got the decision against OKane in Belfast a couple of years back.

I'm 100% sympathetic with the boxer, but did his team protest beforehand? Did they know that there were two Thai judges when they were fighting a Thai away from home and did they try to do anything about it? (Open question as I simply don't know, not a criticism). If I were a boxer, that is the kind of thing I would want my team to deal with. Although the judges/ref were the same four people for the Rex Tso v Brad Hore fight, there were different officials for the undercard fights, so if any were WBC-affiliated, it should have been possible.

How outrageous of that referee at 58 or 59 seconds. He's basically got involved and told them to box. The fight didn't even start until a few seconds in, so that's under a minute and he's sticking his beak in whilst the lads are taking a look at each other. If either fighter gets careless during this time it could EASILY be lights out time. Let's face it - it's highly doubtful that they knew a damn thing about each other going into this.
That is absolutely shocking, busy-body refereeing. Where is the uniformity? The perils of boxing on the road....you can rock up in some places and it must feel like you're competing at a different sport....I've only watched the first 60 seconds so far by the way.

Saw Kerry Hope in Hartlepool once. He gets about. He put on an excellent display and beat Taz Jones, stoppage I think. Great display.

Ignore me, I talking complete sh*te. The fight I am actually getting mixed up with was Taz Jones who stopped Graham Delhedy - who was on a winning run. It was a great display by Taz, my mistake! Although Kerry did box Taz a bit further down the line.

I was wondering! Kerry Hope and stoppage don't often go together in a sentence.
