Recent dubious decisions

Kerry Hope fought in Hong Kong at the weekend. Fought a local and the judges delivered a drawn result. Hope's team very unhappy with the result. Matt Clark claiming it was 10 rounds to 2 at worse and the worst result he's seen.
I haven't seen it yet. So I won't attempt to offer an informed opinion until I do.
But I have seen a few shockers lately.
Sam Soliman's against Wade in the US was pretty ordinary. The punch stats clearly favoured Soliman and he made all the running during the fight - only to get stiffed by the judges.
Closer to home, Zac Dunn got a gift recently IMO against Max Bursak. If Dunn had have got away with a draw I would have thought he'd been more than fortunate.

Kerry Hope – who now fights out of Brisbane, Australia – slugged it out with Thailand’s Petchsuriya Singwancha in their WBC Asian Boxing Council middleweight title bout, dominating in everyone’s opinion but the judges who called the bout a controversial draw. Scores were 114-114 115-113 (Singwancha) and 111-117 (Hope).
The Thai had failed to make the weight on Friday – a whole six pounds over no less – and he was breathing hard from the first bell. The 33-year-old Hope picked his opponent off at will and never really let up from then on in. The result was baffling. Hope is now 22-7-1 (2 KOs).

Disagree about the Dunn fight but Will Tomlinson certainly got a gift against the philipino on the footy show fight on channel 9 recently.

Agree to disagree on the Dunn fight.
More than happy to add Tomlinson to the list.

Further to the Kerry Hope fight >>>
Thai judges Visuth Yingaupagarn and Pongpan Rattanasutorn scored the fight 115-113 in favour of Singwancha and an equally questionable draw at 114-114.
“All I can say is that it was the worst decision I’ve ever seen,” exclaimed Matt Clark. “Kerry boxed well despite a heavy chest infection – I had it scored 118-110 – it wasn’t even close,”
“We will be launching a protest to the WBC in relation to the horrendous scoring.”

I maintain Zac Dunn was fortunate to get the win against Bursak. But hometown judging can't be blamed. Two of the judges were Thais and the third a Kiwi.

Strange result that Hope vs Singwancha, Dennis Hogan put him on his back within 2 rounds 2nd fight back after neck surgery and Hope is obviously a bigger boy than Hogan

Hope has no power, not that hogan is a puncher. But I believe he may only have 1 stoppage win on cuts against proksa
