Blake Caparello vs Andre Dirrell - Oct 17th - Washington DC

Blake Caparello 21-1-1 is set to meet Andre Dirrell 24-2 at 168 pounds on October 17th in Washington DC.
"This is a huge opportunity for me to show the world that I am one of the best 168-pounders in all of boxing," said Caparello. "This is the weight class where I belong. Dirrell is a former Olympian and, like myself, a world title challenger. I expect a very tough fight on October 17, but I know that I will be victorious."
The fight will be on the undercard of Lamont Peterson vs Felix Diaz Jr.

Good on Caparello for having a crack. I think he can definately cause Dirrell some trouble with his awkwardness.

Like Solomon, awkwardness is one of Caparello's major weapons. Dirrell will do well to study some video or he will be in for a bit of a shock.

Rotten break for Caparello. Wonder where he'll head next? His manager Brendan Bourke has already indicated Danny Green has knocked them back.

An "undisclosed medical reason" is the official line coming out of Premier Boxing Champions regarding Dirrell's withdrawal. Certainly not giving away much. Perhaps they are hiding something?
