Not many active middleweights of any quality to choose from

Usually the bigger the fighters the better these Super 8 tournaments work because there tends to be more knock outs and that's what the crowds like to see.

generally I agree with you especially with the heavyweight division however doing three cruiserweight tournaments in a row with the same boxers from all of them it gets a bit repeatative

especially since people are calling them to do a light heavyweight or a heavyweight division with lots of people to choose from from these divisions
on a side note i believe there is a theme with this Super 8 which is polonisian

Please don't do another Cruiserweight one! Especially considering you've just taken two of NZ's best out for a title fight.
Light heavyweight there are so many in NZ/Aus who don't have Zero's to lose anymore. What's say...
Robert Berridge (26-3-1)
Reece Papuni (9-1)
Sam Rapira (11-2)
Nik Charalampous (not sure if he's still injured) (9-0)
Tipene Maniapoto (wildcard) (1-0)
Rob Powdrill (6-1)
Damien Hooper (10-1)
Kerry Foley (16-2-1)

SKY Arena wouldn't be able to sell this to Oz Main Event ppv as it didn't last one.

So its confirmed instead of a Super 8 eight man tournament there will be a super 8 that has 2 four man tournament
the two tournaments will be a Cruiserweight tournament (again) and a Light Heavyweight tournament
Crusierweight Tournament has confirmed Israel Adesanya and I believe they are waiting for contracts to be signed or something like that are Lance Bryant, Zane Hopman and Jamie Porter
Light Heavyweight Tournament has confirmed Robert Berridge and Reece Pupani and I believe again waiting for contracts Andrew Robinson and Joseph Kwadjo

Sounding a better idea than just another cruiserweight affair

Excellent idea. Maybe eliminations over 2 semis over 3 and final over 4 ?
Tournament has to stick to initial format i.e. winner of eliminator 1 & 2 contest semi 1 and winner of 3 & 4 contest semi 2, which didn't quite pan out that way in one of the tournaments.
I done a bit of recording in my time, and fail to comprehend how it can take 5+ minutes to add up 3 round scores?
10 -8
9-10
10-9

Might involve using fingers AND toes to tally the scores?

Jokes aside, given technology why do they still use good ol' paperwork shite? If I was recording these days, I'd at least use spreadsheet format & hand over the toy to Ring announcer within a minute

As a kiwi, it looks like a good night of boxing.
Hopefully we get to see Papanui vs Berridge, and i'm definitely rooting for Langton over Betham (being from the Naki)
I think vslive has done a great job of putting up competitive fights, and look forward to Hemi Ahio's next knock out
Sounding like a fanboy, but i'm just a fan of kiwi boxing

Same here bro if Berridge and Papauni don't meet I reckon they would put on a good 12 rounder scrap in the future

West Australian Commission uses laptop/spreadsheet format, which gives it running score
