What legendary (i.e. HOF bound, arguably HOF bound or long time champions) fighters that are still active to you perceive to be no longer relevant in boxing? By no longer relevant I mean they are universally considered past their best or on the verge of getting old overnight and any fighter who beats them now will get comparatively little credit. I'll start:

Jones Jr
Tarver (although I never considered him HOF)
Hopkins
Marquez
Taylor (if he gets out of jail)
Abraham
Sturm

Cotto will also be on that list after the Canelo fight.

(Cotto will beat Canelo, the ginger doesn't like body shots and Miguel will hit him plenty).

Tarver is potentially not far from another title shot. Hopkins was still top 3 right up until the conclusion of his last fight. Marquez is not still fighting, he is recently retired. Taylor is not a legend, but he is a current world titlist. Abraham is also not a legend, but is a current world titlist. Sturm is not a legend, and he only narrowly lost a title fight in his last fight.

A list of active, irrelevant legends would be like... RJJ, James Toney, Glen Johnson, Acelino Freitas, Shane Mosley, Ricardo Mayorga up until a few days ago and to a lesser extent Vic Darchinyan. Not sure if Jose Luis Castillo has announced retirement, but he fought 10 months ago.

Lads you are misunderstanding. Please reread the OP when I defined what I meant by "legend" for the purpose of this topic. All of the fighters listed meet the criteria I defined. If you don't like the word legend then use something else if that makes you feel better. This is not a debate over what a legend is because legend in respect of this topic has already been defined from the outset.

I'd say Hopkins,Marquez,Abraham and maybe even Tarver are still relevant today,long past their primes but still relevant IMO
