I do think he can win, but only if he prepare right and fight the perfect fight. He won't of course, but I'd still have a bet.

I'd put a grand on, maybe more. Those are some odds, it's well worth a punt.

With odds like that, I'd put at least 50 bucks on him. Hell I'd put a little something on almost any underdog with those kinda insane odds.

Although i give Fury little to no chance of winning, at odds of 1000/1 even i would be tempted to empty my bank account. Almost everyone would take a punt at those odds, its a pointless discussion really.

Now, if the odds were say 25/1 it gets a little bit more interesting. Personally, i would not back him even at 33/1, at 50/1 i'd stick maybe £20 on. I just dont give him any realistic chance if winning, i think he will be dominated and dispatched with ease.

At 1000/1 you'd have to be a complete idiot not to put at least £100 on Fury winning. Having said that, I think 1000/1 is probably not too far away from the realistic chances of a Fury victory. Shame bookies never give accurate odds on sporting events.

As if people wouldn't back him at 25/1. You're kidding me. If those odds came out on the week of the fight, never mind the day of the fight, everyone would be creaming their pants and claiming to be Nostradamus.

Because of odds in relation to the likelihood of it happening. Gambling is all about assessing value. That sometimes means betting on someone you actually aren't sure will win, but has a greater chance than what the bookies are giving him. By your logic, if the statistical odds of winning the lottery were 1 in a thousand but the payout was still millions, you wouldn't bother risking a pound because you 'aren't going to win'.

Fury clearly has an overwhelming better than 1 in 1000 shot to beat Wlad so it's a ridiculously easy bet at those skewed odds. where it becomes interesting is at what point the value runs out. The bookies make Fury a 3/1 shot. Personally, I would back Fury at around 8/1.

I give Fury about 15% chance of winning, just over 7-1 - so around that level I'd be prepared to bet, around the figure you suggested.

I'd put about £3k on it and the biggest bet I've ever placed is £150...
