Is Froch Jealous of Groves?

I'm a fan of ALL boxers so this isn't a post slagging anyone off. Love Froch & think he's the best British warrior since Benn (my hero) & possibly beyond.
I thought he had got over the Groves saga but his recent comments seem to think he's a little bitter.
The point to this thread is that Froch always wanted a big Vegas bout. As did I for him. Groves is now one of the main players on a big Vegas promotion. The now retired Froch doesn't seem to have much to say about either fighter. That's not really what people want from a boxing analyst.
Is Carl pissed off?

He just really dislikes him. He got the shock of his life in the first fight and the relief he must have felt after the second, especially with how it ended, must have been intangible. He couldn't have lived with himself if he'd have lost.

He has gone on record saying that he hopes Groves wins. Whether he actually means it or not is another matter.

I don't think it's anything to do with boxing. Carl can't stand him. End of.

I imagine he wants Groves to now be as successful as possible TBH. It only then enhances his own legacy.
However good a career Groves goes on to have, Froch can always say "I stopped him twice..."

Why would the fact that he isn't talking about something mean he's jealous? Surely, if that proves anything, he proves he doesn't relly care.

Is groves really a major player on the vegas card? Berto isn't even a major player and he's in the main event.
If he was headlining a vegas card bringing thousands of fans with him then he might be jealous

Froch jealous of Groves, have I missed something?
Has Groves knocked out a heated rival in front of 80,000 people at Wembley Stadium, or something?

He knocked somebody out in front of 80,001 fans at Wembley. Carl was pissed, because that was higher than the amount of people who saw him beat Groves.

Probably to some degree. You have to remember, Froch wanted to fight in vegas as a career long dream, Groves is now doing that. Thats the only thing i think might make Froch bitter or jealous

Froch could have under carded at anytime, when he says a fight in Vegas he means a main event.
I can't stand Froch but I don't think he is jealous of Groves, just doesn't like him.

I thought this and maybe George took short money just to be on this card as most fighters would: it can't be bad exposure to fight on a Mayweather card and there is always that little dig to Froch that he's on a Vegas PPV.
But...
It's not his own PPV and he's not headlining (which is what Froch would want)
It's a fight against Badou Jack. Even if it's for a 'World Title' I don't think Carl would have been very interested.
It's a Mayweather fight, so I would assume that a lot of people won't even be in the arena to watch the undercard, just the main event, and the same go's for the PPV buyers in the US. Everybody here will tune in for Groves though and it seems like BN are selling it just as much on the back of Groves as they are Floyd which is good for him.
By some of the accounts I've read this is tanking in the states. The tickets aren't selling well for the live gate at all.
That said I will watch and will be rooting for Groves. I don't think he came across too well in the build up to the second Froch fight and I remember rooting for him against Degale and being so pleased when he won. I now like Degale more and will be rooting for him in the rematch/unification should Groves get this. Strange how things change.

Along with the 80,000 at Wembley comment wasn't it blatantly obvious I was being sarcastic?

To be fair, even Groves has been playing down the occasion in comparison to the Wembley fight. So no, I don't think Froch is jealous at all. Why would he be? And this is from a Groves fan.

I think George has learned a lot from the second loss to Froch. He got carried away with the success of the first fight and it went to his head. People criticise the Rebrasse win, but it came very quickly after the Froch loss when he could easily have taken more time out. He seems focused, and I personally hope he puts in a big performance.
