Hard slug for ladies in our part of the world. Oz boxing fans ain't all that keen on female boxing, even though some are better than some of the boys. JWP's wife Angie is one of them, as is Erin McGowan. Angie was more of a kicker than just a puncher

Susie is probably more skillful than half our male fighters. Naturally she doesn't have as much power though.

Shannon has wanted to fight Suzie for some time but it hasn't been able to get sorted. Be an interesting contest.

As good as they might be, I doubt they'd put enough bums on seats to earn a decent quid for their effort.

Main Support bout on a big card they might do alright. They would have to be on the undercard of a huge card to get what they would be worth.

To date, I'm only aware ladies on this show
http://boxrec.com/show/532774 got paid more than some boys 'cos Promoter gave each 500 bucks bonus for their excellent performance. I was there & certainly agreed

Nive was pretty good. I had a girl that fought her a few times in the amateurs. I heard it was a cracker.

Shannon now 11-4 has a crack at the WBC silver belt coming up in November. Her opponent for the vacant belt is Dayana Cordero 13-5-1 from Columbia.

Shannon O'Connell will have another crack at a WBC silver belt in Warrnambool this Saturday night, this time at super bantamweight.
Same night, same venue, sees the return of Susie Ramadan after a year and a half without a fight.
