I am playing devil's advocate here, but Cornish to win by DQ is not out of the question. The one thing I have disliked about AJ so far is him hitting his opponent when they are down. With this being his first significant title fight, I suspect the refereeing will be ever so slightly tighter.

A valid point. I think it't Cornish's best chance of winning.

You actually think that a refwould disqualify Joshua?

He could do whatever he wants in a British ring and get away with it.

At the start of the fight Cornish will be very tight meaning any punches he throws will be short and out of range. Joshua will soon recognise this and by the end of the 1st he'll start to land with shots to the top of the head. Having felt those punches Cornish will be completely lost and half way through the 2nd a solid shot to the side of the head will put Cornish down and I suspect he could beat the count , but will choose not to .

Joshua in the first, if not then early in the second.

Joshua may carry him a few rounds?

I've gone for a late stoppage. 8-12 rounds. Hoping for a good fight.

Of course not, and I was playing devil's advocate, but I have a feeling that referees (Steve Gray or Victor Loughlin maybe) have given him unofficial warnings about it before. Ed Robinson also mentioned it in interview one or two times so people are becoming more and more aware of it, and may become a bit hot on it

No chance whatsoever. Joshua looks a special talent.

I think a ref would DQ him if he did something worthy of DQ.

Whyte is big and can crack, I'm looking forward to that.

I'm going to open a can of worms here , but I think the hitting opponants whilst they are down thing shows AJ has real spite if he needs to and when he steps up in class will hold him in good stead , not saying it's right or anything but you never saw that sort of thing from the likes of Frank Bruno , he was too " nice" at times , nice to see a british heavyweight with that real killer instinct .

It'll be interesting if he does it against someone likely to do it to him. It's alright having spite when the bloke has no chance but another thing altogether if he's likely to get the same back - its amazing the amount of dirty fighters who find their manners when they go up in class.

I was going to vote for a draw but the option isn't there (very shoddy) so I'm going with Joshua by the 3rd round instead.

Cornish's people are probably hoping that Joshua takes their boy as lightly as you all do and walks in unprepared, looking past him at his next opponent. It's happened before. Price never thought old Tony Thompson posed a threat.... DD

Cornish's record of 21-0 involves him beating some 14 fighters who had overall losing records, the last one only 4 fights ago. Joshua has only fought two fighters with losing records: in his third and second fights

Bruno was a dirty fighter, he was massively strong and would grab around the head and pummel with his free hand, not taps either, he got away with murder really - those rabbit punches are banned for a reason.

ok , that told me then ! must have missed the well known " dirty" fighter that Frank was known as

Everyone used to say that Frank wasn't ruthless enough, that he was too nice etc etc. It's only years later watching back his fights that I realised what a dirty fighter he was.

He was found wanting at world level because he too often ended up frozen stiff against the ropes, like Han Solo glazed in carbonite hung up on the wall of Jabba's debauched lair.

Instead of Boba Fett it was Iron Mike who scared the bejesus out of him.
